I love LBP, so I'm really excited for this. That said, I have a feeling that people will over hype this game way to much.

So it's basically "gamemaker" with less customization and with the price tag of $60?

LBP2 is gonna be something special. The best way to appreciate it (more than most games) is to actually play it.

I'm sure LBP2 players will get more than their money's worth. It's more than just a game maker though, you can share and play others' games. And MM themselves have a campaign.

I'm getting the sense of 'makeshifting' here, tbh. especially with this shooter gameplay.

it's like taking Halo's map editor and making a racing game, you can make one, but it's just not enough to be what it's *trying* to be.

I'd say the RTS stuff is much more impressive (except the butchering of the C&C name. well...EA did take care of that back in 2006, so less harm done there....)

I would NEVER try to use this game to replace a game, I'd rather just play the real thing. there is no substitute.

anyhow......I'm sure the game will be great and will improve on it's core features, the platforming. and it really isn't arguable to say there is no place for user-created content, that's always an awesome feature.

Way to pick and choose, there are many gamemaker games I would choose over the first LBP and Super Mario 64 (the first and last 3d mario game I played).

Graphics do not reflect the quality of the game.

LBP1 try to be other games too, still it's one of most sucesful series on PS3 and people have fun with it, bah it has more player online then UC2 :)

Again it's still a platformer and even with features that allow to make "other games" it will extend platforming qulity

I'm not familiar with game maker. I thought you were calling LBP2 a game maker in terms of the styIe of game it is. Either way, LBP2 will be more than worth it's $60 price tag just like first.

littlebigplanet 2 is not as powerful but much more accessible. On a side note, I am confident that littlebigplanet in terms of 2d/ 2.5d content is significantly better than the starcraft 2 editor. Starcraft 2 editor does other things better though.

graphics reflect the qualit of a game. It is a huge factor same with sound, and level design. The fact is littlebigplanet biggest flaw was its unability of tweaking platforming, gravity, music, etc. This game fixes all of that. It has eveything. I was shocked that ign didn't have it best of show because I am sure this game, portal 2, and donkey kong country wii were the 3 games that were going to win all the best of e3 awards.

They were already Starcraft 2 based RPG's released even when the game was in Beta through the editor. The LBP 2 editor is always going to be limited by its inability to import custom content, which as you can probably imagine, is going to hold it back quite a bit.

Graphics do not relfect sound, and a game can still have great level design without good graphics. Graphics reflect nothing besides how much effort the developer put into it.

Let me guess...you were on a forum and you saw someone complaining about the Starcraft 2 editor? The features that the Starcraft 2 editor lacks go well beyond what is in LBP 2 anyway.

Simple logic. The fact that you have to create your own textures, and art assets. You have to model 3d objects make it much more difficult to do than littlebigplanet. Let me guess you think starcraft 2 is the end all and be all of all editors because it is made by blizzard?

OH *****

Now we have RTS games.

Really why the ****** did Sony not focus more time on LBP2 for their event.

You can also change gravity too (so no more complaining).

LBP2 GOTY contender, looking like the front runner IMO

They are working on porting the 2 million existing user created levels to LBP2.

They don't need porting, there will be converted on the fly to and will have better graphics, if someone publish level on LBP1 it will be also in LBP2
