Damn. I usually tend to agree with GT's reviews too for the most part. This is unfortunate. On one hand, it looks like a great time, on the other the $40 gaming coupon I was going to use on this could very well be used on Uncharted 3. What to do, what to do.

Normally I would say 7.2 is not a bad score to be worried (haven't watched the review so I can't comment on that), but then looking at their podcast... they act like 7.0 games are not worth buying. Not looking good.
LOTR is one of the worst series, imo i heard it was based on the movies? Eh, well i dont really watch movies so i wouldnt know, but judging from what ive seen on youtube, its an ugly game, it trys to much to be like Dark Souls.

wtf? Its not like dark souls, it a co-op focused RPG allowing three people to play together. it tells a separate story from the movies but events occur at the same time.
It tells a story that was briefly mentioned in the books.
Wow I was actually interested in this game... I think IGN and Gametrailers review their games far too quickly w/o taking their time to play it well and quickly judge.... they probably don't even beat the game.
Sounds good to me. So many times games that I have been anticipating score in this range and I end up loving them to death. I have this on the way from Gamefly and am looking forward to enjoying it before I pick up Skyrim next week. Should be fun.

Have you played Dark Souls or even watched some of the gameplay from LOTR: War in the North? If you did you'd realize they are completely different.
