Lowest rated game that you loved!

Since SW seems to be going mad over R2 and Gears 2 - and since we now live in a world where anything less than 9.5 is a flop.. I thought I'd make a post about games you you loved, despite bad reviews.

Anyone remember RollCage on the PS2? I played that game sooo much and loved every second. It was only a year or so later I realised that it had scored 6's and, at most, 7's on all the review sites.

I also really enjoyed Syphon Filter 2.. which again did quite badly

Anyone else have any fav games that "flopped" in a more traditional sense.

I think Mario Kart 64 was rated 6.4 for something like that. Ridiculous if you ask me! I played that game for way too many hours with my friends. Immensely fun!Kalel559

lol mario kart 64 was rated 6.4... that sounds like a joke to me . my favourite underated game is tenkaichi 2 . GS rated it too low, but that game was great

Skies of Arcadia: Legends

I think Mario Kart 64 was rated 6.4 for something like that. Ridiculous if you ask me! I played that game for way too many hours with my friends. Immensely fun!Kalel559

I enjoyed Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Nothing special, but it was a rock-solid little adventure game that served as a movie tie-in with the movie. Gamespot gave it a 4.3 and supported it with downright stupid arguments. Game deserved a 7.5 at least.

Rayman 1 only received a 7.0 on Gamespot when I found it to be one of the best platforming games ever made. It was difficult, but it was deep and really fun.

I think GS used to have some strange crudge against overly violent games, those weren't perfect games but they were unique for their time, and the following games in the franchises have luckily proved their true worth.

Love is a strong word , so I'll take it down to enjoyed (as rentals). These were rated under a 7 at Gamespot and I enjoyed them.

I'd have to say Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. Pathetic review really. Possibly the worst review I've ever read. LostWinds and the FFCC Wiiware reviews were also horrible.

Max Payne 2 got something like a 9 on PC... must be the PS2 version.

Simply one of the best games this generation. So polished, spectacular environments and good graphics, good storytelling (decent story), fun gameplay, and overall it felt great. My one problem with the game was that you couldn't rotate your camera on the world map, lol.

Infinite Undiscovery is also pretty dang good, although I'd consider it a 8.0, an average good game. Lost Odyssey is kick*** but the majority here acknowledge this

you know what i think happened? they tried to make the 64 part of N64 more meaningful. that's why it got a 6.4. people would remember it better.
