Yes this has been discussed before but I thought I would give my thoughts on the current situation of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

http://pc.ign.com/articles/873/873303p1.html

Where to start...

LucasArts is acting like pc gamers iq levels are below 80.......heres how many things that contradict with what they said about the pc version.

1.) $4,000 pc to run it perfectly.......no need to explain this any further.

2.) Too much work to scale the game properly on pc.......well they sure as hell don't mind making a version for every other damn system.

3.) Not wanting to release any type of a dumbed-down version on pc......well what the hell do you think the ps2, psp, and ds versions are? Sure as hell not the same since i recall them saying the ps2 version will not use havok or euphoria. This also shows that they already have a high-end version (PS3, 360) and a low end version (PS2)......well WTF! just put both of those versions together for pc and there ya go! Another note, "zomg pc gamers would have to turn settings down if they didn't meet the recommended requirements". When the hell did this become news for pc gamers? No %$#@ you need to turn down settings if you have an older spec. machine, every damn pc game is like this and has been like this since pc gaming started.

4.) Sales.....even with pirating on pc it's still a problem with consoles, exspecially the handhelds so that argument won't go very far especially when huge games come out for pc this year that will sell without a hitch. Also, who the hell would buy this game for ps2 when 2008 will be coming to a close?

5.) Way to screw over the pc gamers where your biggest fan base is and the fan base that made you what you are today LucasArts. Wasting your time on handheld versions and a ps2 version where if you did pc you actually 100% would have plenty of people that would buy it.

6.) Did these morons completely forget about the modding community??? This game has got to be using one of the biggest sandbox engines i've ever seen. Of course there screwing over multi-player from the sounds of it so this pretty much proves they're just huge sellouts now.

So with the biggest bs PR statement i've ever read, giving a big middle finger to their biggest and core fan base as well as the modding community, no traditional multi-player like the Jedi Knight games.....wow......

I don't want this game to fail, I want it to do really well but all this crap that LucasArts is doing.....they deserve to have this fail miserably.

Enough ranting, just what I think of the current situation of this game as well as the company as a whole. Going downhill and fast.

My PC costs $9,000 and it can barely run Crysis on medium!

or so most people pretend.
