M$ counters Sony's MLBTheShow, Bungie announces HALO BASEBALL!

You know, there is A LOT of talk about MLB09 : The Show, it just scored a 9.0 here at GS, and MLB08: The Show was a good AA game. It's looking like Sony's Domination of Baseball is about to END.

Due to Halo Wars Success, and the critics wanting BUNGIE back on the project, this should be the ULTIMATE COMBO.

Bungie wanted to stretch their wings with NEW Gameplay types after thier latest expansion, Halo 3 ODST comes out, however, this will allow BUNGIE to expand keeping their morale up AND get HALO another new branch point.

Well, M$ wants it, and it will happen, Bungie is now making a HALO Baseball game!

No more talking about the 360 lacking exclusives for 2009, I just dug this up to kill that line of thought.

Don't worry, although Bungie is independent, anything with the word HALO is only for 360.

...O'Connor reveals that testers created a baseball gametype with rocket launchers and gravity hammers. "They even got bases in," he said. If only The Sandlot used rocket launchers, then they'd never have been afraid of that ill-tempered dog. How about a game of Krikkit, anyone?...

Well, there's a debate about if it's a Great AAA game for PS3, or a great AAAE game for the PS3. It's a ragin' as we speak.

With this latest announcement, Sony may lose the Baseball crown they've had since 2005, or 2006, whenever MVP went away.

It's a shame the multiplat 2k MLB isn't any good.

ONe thing everyone one agrees on, Sony does seem to be on a gaming roll :

Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, MLB09:The Show...so that's something.

i think id only find a game on cross stitching or accounting less interesting that a baseball game

OH, it WAS MARIO Strikers that he was playing. I just remember him playing online COop with my other buddy, meanwhileI was left in the cold, drinking a beer, waiting for both of them to finish so we could go out.

So MLB 09 The Show scores AAA.

My knowledge of Baseball maybe limited, being a UK resident so we don't go in for niche sports like that... but isn't AAA in baseball the second level of the game, just below the big leagues... home to prospects that have potential and older players who can't quite cut it any more?

Pretty apt for the PS3 don't you think... used to have all the tools but fading, may have potential in the future "but we have to wait" and all that.

5 games in 8 years is hardly milking something, not when there have been over 20 Metal Gear games since its conception and the way Nintendo slap Mario on anything they can think of.

Well it can't be worse that Halo Wars, I just couldn't figure that game out. It didn't make any sense, everything was so small, and when I used the analog stick to move all that happened was the camera moved. I mean what was that all about? I take it this is going to have shooting in it right?

Phew.. I thought it was an actual game, but its just downloadable content for Halo 3
