you can get a windows vista computer that can run crysis for around $1500
most macs are $2000 or more
PC's are better for gaming and i think there slightly cheaper, but macs have certain advantages like ability to also have windows and no viruses. I also like the mac OS style a little beter, but i like the taskbar apossed to the dock, taskbar has most programs in it and dock only has recent ones. It al really comes down to opinion.
Vista > Mac
Only emos use macs.

How is PC better for gaming? The Mac can do everything PC can do betterand more....
PC's can run mac too, so the whole boot camp argument is rather moot.

However, you can't run the OSX in parrellels. Meaning you either have to run OSX or Vista on your PC. On a Mac you can run both Vista and OSX at the same time.

Maybe if you own a Mac Pro or something. The standard Macs don't seem to have all that powerful a hardware and the CPU/GPU aren't easily upgradable so the PC still has the advantage in that respect.

lol? You can easily upgrade your CPU and GPU like any other PC. Most standard Macs allow you to do this.

Oh really? The iMacs don't seem all that accessible to me. If I remember correctly, there's just a port on the bottom that allows you to add in more memory and that was it. Have they changed it since then?

Running at 2 frames per second at minimum settings.
Macs look nicer (both externally and the operating systems) and the programs tend to work more smoothly. Wait, that's right, Macs can't run nearly as many programs. Don't get me wrong. Macs are fine for standard users and simple tasks. I only dislike Macs because of their ad campaign and slower performance.

Just go to the apple.com store and see for yourself. Then come back here and say you were owned.

Having spent a good amount of time working on both Macs and PCs, I find this hard to believe.

1GB memory @ 667mhz, an ATI Radeon X1600 video card, and a 2.16Ghz C2D.
Not enough memory and **** memory at that. The video card is the bare minimum for playing the game, and the processor is at the low-end of the market.

How much does it pays being a fanboy? I just showed you an iMac at $1500 that can run Crysis. You said $2000 which I glady proved you wrong.
Let's get this straight as well. If you switch components in a Mac, it becomes a PC.
So switching that crappy video card in your G5 is pointless.
Mac = a PC that wants to be a console. Completely proprietery by Apple.

Whatever it pays, it must be better than whatever one gets for creating nonsensical rants and arguments. :?

Sorry, but to say Crysis will run 2 fps is just as ridiculous...

On 1GB of 667mhz memory and a X1600 with a low-end processor?
Maybe not 2FPS on minimum settings. But no more than 30. And that's being generous.
Whereas for the same price you could upgrade your PC to run the game at high settings.
I'm sorry, but Macs just don't cut it at hardware nor gaming.

Maybe just a little couple of dollars more, you can upgrade the memory to 4gb. Still won't get you over the 2000 range.
apple can make some crackin hardware (the new mac pros with the 8 core processors....oooo yeah. needs a better graphics card though) but there OS makes macs a non runner for games. however u can install windows and windows drivers onto mac hardware which definately levels the playing field (i dont know what the story is with vista and macs though).
so basically apple hardware (with a few changes) + windows= a very nice gaming machine.
OSX as a gaming OS is pretty much useless though (it has the tech to be great mind). that may change in the future but at the mo support is very poor.

The most you can upgrade an iMac to is 3GB. At least at the Apple store. And that costs 550 dollars.
Even if you did that, the memory latency and bandwith are still far too low and won't make up for it with more of it.
And the video card is still holding everything down. Even if you did upgrade to 3GB memory, you still wouldn't get over 30FPS.
