To be fair, Mirror's Edge has some serious problems...
I enjoyed all 5.5 hours of it but the combat pissed me off and some of the puzzles don't give you ANY clue as to what you need to be doing. Also, there are times where things you meant to do, and you nearly do simply won't register because it is a first person game.. That gets in the way. I generally agree with most of the reviews... I has some very bad issues though.
Help me locate the opinion in the meat of that review, I have a hard time finding it. Most of it covers an analysis of the game's content as it relates to others in the genre.
I Love how all of you are going LOL madagascar...and haven't even touched the game..

It's based on a movie, and movie games have a reputation for sucking, but since GS said it's better than Mirror's Edge, maybe I should play it? youright they have a reputation to suck.....
But that doesn't mean that this movie game isn't actually a good game. According to gamespot it was actually a GOOD game just like Mirrors Edge was a GOOD game...
and a .5 score difference honestly doesn't mean anything when it is 2 different reviewers with 2 different opinions......
I mean crap me and you could be on the same editorial team....and our score ranges would be all over the board.....People are making too much out of these reviews...and not reading them A and not playing the games B.
I don't think that means its necessarily a better game. I think it pertains to the genre and a variety of other factors. There was a lot more expected of Mirrors Edge then there was of Madagasgar 2 lol.
So Madagascar should have a 5? its thats what are you saying, just because its Madagascar, i mean c'mon why people dont undersand that Mirrors' Edge doesnt appeal to everybody and Madagascar its just a funny game its not like a GOTY contender, i kind of enjoy Mirror's Edge demo, but to be honest i have some issues with the trial and error factor, not an 8.0 material for me but of course, its a hyped game so automatically should be better than any other non hyped game.

"When it gets fiddly, however, you feel like the Elephant Man trying rollerblades for the first time" = opinion
