Madden is the worst franchise ever!

Talk about milkage. Its the same game every year with little to no change from last years version. And people complain about call of duty. EA just caters to the brain dead jock population who don't have enough imagination or attention span for a RPG. Yet these games are still wildly popular every year. Why? Is there anything wrong with playing the 2011 version than 2012? I mean seriously. It is the lamest longest running franchise in gaming. People complain about mario and zelda being rehash, yet I have never heard anyone on here critisize Madden. The K2 series was better and everyone knows it, then EA bought the rights and yet not a peep.

Just because it's milked doesn't mean it's bad. Same goes for CoD (Because I know 20+ people are going to come in saying "Nope, CoD is the worst.")

Any sports game is terrible if you buy it every year. I usually skip every other year. But if something big changes I buy it. Example: My player mode on NBA 2k11.

Yearly releases for sport games have become the norm. They're mainly steered towards the so called 'bro gamers.' Where I live, Madden isn't that big. Most of my friends buy FIFA every year, and usually don't know jack about gaming. (I was explaining to one that Skyrim was a multiplat, not only did he not know what Skyrim was, he didn't even know what a multiplat was.) Those games are geared towards the casual market.

I think Madden 12 is a good game. I like it even though I'm not that into sports games. Try not to buy it back to back years.

THere hasn't been a madden in years that is anymore deserving than a 6. 60$ for less than 10$ worth of new content. There is like no reason to upgrade each year. Plus I still think the gameplay should be better. The run game in madden just isn't fun. NFL 2k1 is so much better in terms of gameplay. Sure madden has the current tech bells and whistels but honestly I'd still rather play 2k1.
