it's up for psn plus members as well... looks really crisp and good but suffers from screen tearing.Totalgym9000Not uncommon
[QUOTE="Totalgym9000"]it's up for psn plus members as well... looks really crisp and good but suffers from screen tearing.The_Gaming_BabyNot uncommon this is why hermits love pcs so much, well one of the reasons. Screen tearing with no option for vsync is unacceptable.
Just so people with the PC demo know, there's a timer patch available so you can play without being interrupted. The game feels great, the cars are nice to drive and the cops/alert system is very detailed. So far it seems it's a worthy successor to the original game.

Screen tearing with no option for vsync is unacceptable. Well I have a gts250 so my PC is pretty decent, so ill be downloading the demo off steam as well, it's not all just about graphics for me though, it depends if I want to be chilling out relaxing without any trouble, or keyboarding and mousing on a smaller computer screen. ( I know you can set the comp up on the HDTV with a 360 controller which I do sometimes but it's such a hassle going back and forth the game really has to be worth it)
only PSN plus members have it a day early. My god the PSN store is a pain to navigate. I cant fnd the Mafia 2 demo anywhere.

I will try it out. Mafia 2 is one of the games I will be getting later this year. So many games coming out and so little time to play them all.

How is the demo limited? Is there a timer of you cant visit most places?
Slashkice
10 minute time limit outside and there are red boundaries blocking off sections of the map.
That has got to be the suckiest demo timer ever. I'm glad the PC demo has been cracked already.[QUOTE="hypoty"][QUOTE="PAL360"]

There's a timer so it's exits the demo after a certain amount of time, much like the JC2 demo. If your on PC you can fix that, however.

It's perfectly legal, just modding the game. The red barriers are still there, but the timer isn't.

My Anti-virus just went berserk then. Different link?I used that one and it worked fine for me, NOD32 reports it's virus free.
[QUOTE="guildclaws"]The demo is out? sweet!, how many missions does the demo contain?Slashkice
One multi-part mission. I don't think it's the full mission though as I assume it continues in the full game.
can you kill civilians and drive cars in the demo?[QUOTE="guildclaws"]can you kill civilians and drive cars in the demo? Slashkice
Yes, you can freeroam though there is a 10-minute time-limit and the entire map isn't accessible.

Avast has blocked it :/[QUOTE="Ravensmash"]The framerate didn't seem stable in the 360 version....hopefully it's fixed for full release.clyde46I'm downloading the 360 version, going to see how the all compare. Tell us your thoughts when you've compared both :)
The framerate didn't seem stable in the 360 version....hopefully it's fixed for full release.Ravensmashis that surprising? Especially for a game with a pc focus?

Well it's hardly unplayable, from developer videos, and I only noticed it in one or two areas. I may have been noticing the controls tbh, thus making me think it feels sluggish - turning sensitivity up to high fixed that though.
