Mafia 2 exclusive content looks pretty meaty

PS3 exclusive DLC, similar to Joken content. Anyways there's a trophy for 1000 kills so it looks rather lengthy, 2 silver/8 bronze total.

Pssshh.... While there is a possibility Sony paid for the development of this content, it's just as likely they paid to keep 2K's anti-used voucher out of the 360 case.

Nonono, if it's like the Joker DLC it is free to everyone so it doesn't do much against 2nd hand sales. I'm not sure how these deals work but it sure beats timed exclusivity on CoD DLCs :P

What I meant was it might've been 2K's plan all along to develop this content separately from the main game and put a voucher in the case for all versions. Until Sony approached them. Sony has shown a generous disposition with the arrangements they made with EA. But that doesn't mean they won't make shady deals elsewhere.

And rightly so. The MW2 stuff is bad in an obvious way. Microsoft paid to stall the release on other platforms. No one but Microsoft and Activision gains anything from those kinds of setups. Exclusive content is rarely something to not frown upon. But it does depend on context. Some of the time there's no way of knowing the hows and whys of a deal, so I just assume the worst and frown upon all exclusive DLC.

Good move by Sony, but considering people moaned about MS's timed exclusive DLC - I'm going to moan about this.

Indeed it does look pretty meaty. This game has been on my radar, but I have not been keeping up with recent footage until the past few days. Simply put, it looks fantastic and I'll be getting it on day one. Some of the footage I am talking about is from this 15:00 walk through. For those who have not seen it, check it out:

Yeah, I could slap myself silly for not staying on top of this one. I have had interest, I have just been overlooking it. It looks more impressive than GTA IV to me.

I'm guessing Sony is going to advertisement and this is "payment" for doing so. Similar to AA, all the AA commercials pro-trade it as an exclusive.

Even if it looks/runs better on 360 I'd much have a nice a good free DLC, especially if it stays exclusive. None of this timed exclusive business that MS pulls with Call of Duty games (Although its probably Activision preventing it)
