Which one do you think you would like more?

I choose Mafia 2 because I like the setting of the game more, even though I didn't like Mafia 1 much

Mafia 2 by far imo...

GTA4 will be absolutely amazing no doubt... but Mafia just had so much more style, better feel and better story :)

In my opinion the original Mafia is better than any GTA game, so Im more excited about Mafia 2. But since it will take at least another year before it gets released its not really possible to compare the two.

Mafia is more story driven game than GTA, GTA is more fun to play when you finish the story, GTA has better gameplay, so GTA is better.

Both are going to be amazing games.

I liked Mafia because the setting of the game also, who doesn't like being a member of the Mafia?

One of the best missions in Mafia was the one where there was a deal going on, on a rainy night inside a farm, it was so intense.

Mafia 2: linear, period soundtrack (1940s), well constructed story, excellent action sequences, living world. Plus you have to follow traffic laws (not necessarily a bad thing).

GTA4: open ended, modern soundtrack (today and yesterday), simple story, simple action sequences, living world. New and promising wanted level system.

GTA4 for me. Imo the living world in GTA is better, although mafia is a better linear experience

Lol, how is Mafia 2 even keeping up with GTA, You guys must have played a different Mafia 1 than I did, I played the one with the 25 mph car chases and bad on foot sections.

There has to be more to this story, is Mafia2 an exclusive or something?

GTA by far, however Mafia is amazing Its the next best thing there is to a GTA. The storyline is much more memorable than any of the GTA.. but however, just reading whats comming on GTA (multiplayer, non linear, etc) it seems like GTA will be better.

Sure 2kGames are tightlipped about the upcomming project.. but im sure Mafia 2 will be amazing.. im just curious to see what features they will add in.

I'm stunned that there is a Mafia following here, I may need to try this title out again because I'm obviously missing something here. Maybe it's because I played it on PS2 and something got left out of the translation or something.

I'm looking at all this Mafia support and scratching my head in total confusion.

Get the PC version, the console version was very pail in comparison to the pc version. Give the game another chance. Sure, the cars are still slow to begin with, wich takes getting used to, but really, it isn't a racing game, though you eventually earn faster cars and do alot of driving. It's one of the best games i've played, and pretty realistic imo for the time it was released. A truly brilliant story line aswell, I can't wait for Mafia II :D

Nobody likes the PS2 version. If it's rave reviews you are hearing from people, they played it on PC.

GTA4 is still first on my list. Mafia 2 I need to wait for reviews. The small dev team is talented but we don't know for sure if Mafia 2 will have the great stuff Mafia 1 had. At least Rockstar have proven their track record and GTA4is a very safe buy imo.
