I think its private to the Gamer Advisory Panel (GAP). I'm in it (Official PS forums). Hopefully I'll get into the beta. There should definitely be vids/photos though.

That's definitely one of the most important parts of a shooter - the feel. It's amazing how many developers get it wrong and give you weapons that have about as much punch as firing a super soaker.

That was something that pissed me off in BF BC.

Yeah, I had this discussion with friends. When I first played the game I always had a weird feeling that something was off. I thought I was crazy. :P

Another reason why I love Battlefield. 8) Except BC, its weapons were weak. Good thing they fixed it in 1943 and in BC2.

um...how many people dont have an army person in their family? that doesn't make a person an authority on guns.

My grand father was prepped and prepared as an alternate to fly the Enola Gay (people can figure out the reference) But that doesn't make me want to learn about flying aircraft, The most i have is a 20 gauge shotgun which i used for target practice or hunting, and i used when i learned hunting education and nature conservation.

and...so did my grand father he flew you obviously don't know what it means to be prepped as an alternate for a mission...It means you are prepared to called into a mission from whatever your currently doing...But as for that its off topic now, having some one in your family in the service =/= knowing a single thing about weapons.

see my great uncle was helicopter pilot he could fly airplanes also, from what i hear helicopter is harder to drive than a airplane unless you driving some harrier or some crap trying to land one like a heli. Funny how i know how helcopters control somewhat and i used to love desert strike helicopter game for sega genesis LOL. plus i used to go to war musems and crap all the time with my grandma when i was kid.

Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf, commonly known as Desert Strike, is a shoot 'em up video game released by Electronic Arts (EA) in February 1992 for Sega's Mega Drive. The player controls a lone Apache helicopter and attempts to destroy enemy weapons and installations, rescue hostages and capture enemy personnel, while managing supplies of fuel and ammunition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Strike:_Return_to_the_Gulf THAT GAME WAS OWNAGE

Zipper is known for having experience with real weapons since Socom 1. I doubt they'll stop that model with MAG. As for new of the beta: cool. I hope it goes well and makes the game the best it can be. Looking forward to it VERY much.

Yeah same here. IDK why though.

Because epic battles are fun to watch. Storming Normandy beach for example.

The beach landings weren't epic really... It was more just thousands of Allied troops getting slaughtered. In fact that whole mission was a WWII Zergling rush. The generals just hoped to got that the Germans would run out of bullets before we ran out of Americans. Turns out they were right though

I am talking about Battlefield 1942. I know it was a slaughter IRL.

Zipper actually commented on the news of the MAG Beta and the guy playing the beta is actually a developer.
