MAG has a monthly fee?!?!?!

I read the new Game Informer. I don't mind paying online, especially for this game. BUT, I hope it's not like WOW, which got a lot after a while.

I'm hoping it's only 4 bucks a month or so.

Wow a monthly fee for a console game? Well, there goes my interest in this game. It's a shame too cause it looked like it would of been fun.

I really don't think they will charge a monthley fee, I would like to see a scan of the magazine to see for my own eyes.

Xbox live is the best online service and you pay £35 for all games. i wont be getting M.A.G unless its like £5 per year or something

you people are fools if you think there will not be monthly fees. First off, it's an MMOFPS. Second, 256 players = high maintenance servers = monthly fees.

this really isnt an mmo though. its zipper the old makers of socom right. well in EVERY socom the lobbies all held 256 people, the same number of people mag will have in each map. so if we never had to pay to have 256 people in each lobby why would we need tofor 256 for each one now. i mean we are holding the same amount of people per server just we are all in the same game now. i have the gi and havent read it yet, but i dont think they confirmed a fee yet

If it has a monthly fee i wont buy it but if its free i may buy it if the game turns out to be fun

Why are people acting like this is a new thing? It is something we have always known would be a possibility from the start.

Dedicated servers running 256 players a game are not cheap I imagine.

Wait what?? I have the new game informer also (assassins creed 2 looks sooo awesome) and I read the MAG article today and don't remember it saying anything about paying to play. I'll check again real quick.

if it has a fee, the game itself should be a free download.
