Yes this is by far the best Zelda game. I also liked the fact that there was no Princess or Ganondorf to fight.
Why? WInd Waker is a work of art, it's right up there withShadow of the Colossus, Okami and Metroid Prime, you do know that, right?[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="Boogie_J"]
no way in hell is wind waker the best zelda game. I'll give you LTTP and OOT, those are undeniable classics...but wind waker? hell no.
Boogie_J
never put wind waker in the same leauge with SOTC. That game is art, windwaker is not
How is SOTC art but Wind Waker is not? SOTC is the most awful and bland looking game of last gen. People overrate this game worse than halo and gta and thats saying alot.
I've only recently started playing it and I must agree. Its amazing. In the first 5 minutes you lose Epona, Link becomes a Deku child and your Ocarina is stolen... I can't tell you how scared I felt when I went up to the observatory to see Skull Kid standing on the clock tower, then panning upwards to see the moon with that creepy, evil face slowly getting closer. It was genuinely unnerving.

Yea and the most it would play as the time started to run down, oh that was creepy.
Imo its too hard. I cant play it i just dont know what to do. I think A link to the past is the best one, that had the perfect difficulty level, not to easy, not to hard
I've only ever played three Zelda games, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and Majora's Mask. While OoT is one of my favorite games of all time, try as I might, I just couldn't get into MM. I had the same problem with it as I did with WW. It just didn't FEEL like a Zelda game. It departed so drastically from OoT. But I played it 9 years ago when I was 10, so maybe if I played it today I'd have a different opinion.
Link's awakening has a lot in common with majora's mask. It's hard for me to rank the zeldas but LA and MM definitely have the darkest, most conflicted plots of any of them. I would lump those 2 games with Zelda 2 as the black sheep of the franchise. TP, LTTP, Z1, 4S, WW, and the Oracle games would be the zeldas that depend on being executed smoothly and flawlessly. Never played phantom hourglass or that other one.THis may sound strange, but I really liked Link's Awakening. That may be my favourite. I must admit MM is one of the two Zeld games I never played.

MM was a Great Game, but the Save System almost Ruined it for me. You could either:
a. Go back in Time (Which erases most of the Stuff you did).
b. Use an Owl Statue (Which is more of a Checkpoint System than a Save System).
So if you were to say, almost complete Stone Tower Temple & Ikana Valley (Which takes a long time) then have the Game Froze on you, you have to do ALL of the things you did all over again. Hours of Progress Erased because of the Save System.
I think of it as the last great Zelda game. WW didn't really float my boat (and no, that's not due to the art style) and Twilight Princess was good, but not as good as previous installments of the series.
I still have to play Majora's Mask (It is the only Console Zelda I never played. I watched my friend play it but he refused to let me play) So when I get a Wireless Router I have to download Majora's Mask.
No.
Here are my favorite Zelda games
I haven't played the other Zelda games, so I can't comment.
There is no way. That game is barely unplayable now.[QUOTE="Willy105"][QUOTE="ArisShadows"]That would be the classic called Link To The Past.JLF1
So that's why the GBA port in 2002 got 9.2 and the Wii VC port in 2007 got 8.5?

you must be joking...
Links Awakening is my favourite Zelda too. Heck, it's my favourite game of all time. I cried when the internal battery ran out...:(THis may sound strange, but I really liked Link's Awakening. That may be my favourite. I must admit MM is one of the two Zeld games I never played.

I couldn't help but notice the Wind Fish or whatever it's called leave Link stranded in the ocean. Ungrateful was he.THis may sound strange, but I really liked Link's Awakening. Windwaker is the best ever, and one of the best games of all time.Next-Gen-TecNah, one of the worst for me: short, annoying gameplay elements, too easy, nothing new was particularly good, travelling was frustrating, dissapoiting final boss.

Oh yeah that dual swords Ganon was garbage. Zelda's light arrows made it even more easy. I never died once in the game.
[QUOTE="sonicthemegaman"][QUOTE="Next-Gen-Tec"]Windwaker is the best ever, and one of the best games of all time.Next-Gen-TecReally? I have to say I thought Wind Waker was the worst. I mean it's so easy that I never died. I finished it and never touched it since. It was epic, you know nothing about games. Yeah, take that. You know nothing. What an argument.
So i read this thread and decided to play Majoras Mask. i put my game into my 64 and noticed how the save files erased themselves, which is no real biggie. So i started a new game, the moment i gained control of link i died. I am alive again now, and in my inventory i currently have every item and mask slot filled with the ocarina of time o.O this is the wierdest glitch i've ever seen lol...

The Wind Waker was one of the first few games which I played that I felt had nothing wrong with it. I can't say that with any past Zelda, including A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time.
It happens when a cartridge game hasn't been used in many years. The first time you boot it up, it takes time to for the whole thing to warm up, and the last thing that does is the EEPROM chip. A simple reset fixes it. Honestly, I miss cartridge games. Although it was harder to develop for, it sure made games better. So i read this thread and decided to play Majoras Mask. i put my game into my 64 and noticed how the save files erased themselves, which is no real biggie. A Link to the Past outclasses it in every way. Along with Windwaker.
And I don't think I'm the only one
Well it was a good game butI find a Link to the Past, OoT and Wind Waker to be the best Zelda titles. a LttP and Wind Waker being the best two IMO
