I can't say I empathize. The thought of purchasing another Sony console never crossed my mind.

Exactly how much time do you need? 4 months is a long time, and it is also by far the most important time period for a console's success in the long run. If they can't pull it off in the beginning, no one will want to buy it, and consumers will go to the more successful console with more good games (and cheaper price).
You PS3 people can spin it any way you want, but games and price are by far the two most important aspects of a gaming system. All of that other crap is just desert. The PS3 is failing bigtime in these two departments.

Not going to argue with you, however, it is early. TOO early to be complaining. I'm enjoying my PC and PS2 for the time being until PS3 comes out. And, of course, the ladies.
you know what? I use to think that, but as soon as I can get a new job (right now solely living off of my wifes pay cause I lost my job over a month ago), I might actually consider purchasing a PS3 in about a year or so. They really have to start releasing games that actually interest me first though. Button mashers and RPG's don't cut it.
Home kicks ass, as does little big planet, I can't wait for either. Final Fantasy 13? Yes, MGS4? Yes, DMC4? Yes, Lair? Yes, Killzone 2? Maybe (lol), White Knight Story? Oh HELL Yes!
I love my PS3.
But I also love the 360.
Just buy both and get it over with...you know you want to :)

ummm, no. The price is literally keeping me away from the PS3, and the games (or rather, future potential of having a handful of decent games) is not convincing me either.
funny how the only people that are glad they bought a ps3 are the people that own them, maybe because they know it was worth it. now that i got one i think i would cry if i didnt have one.

Totally agree, GDC passed, not one new game announced, not a sign of FF13 or MGS4 for release even in early 2008 etc
PS3 is the worst deal ever in gaming right now, 360 the very best, Wii is for blind ones that do not carefor graphics
