Who cares if you buy it? Thats not the point, ever game 1st party makes should look better than last gen. There is really no excuse for it not to.

They look similar, but MK:Wii has the edge from the superior lighting. It also renders more players and their A.I.

But, essentially we're splitting hairs here, as it dosen't matter all that much, you'll appreciate the smooth online and high framerate, it's easy to look past the visuals.

Mario kart's not about graphics, but it would be nice to have them. Thats not the point, point is why does a next gen game have worse graphics then last gen? Im sorry but the wii hardware either sucks worse than they let on, or they just dont give a crap given the new audience.

heres a comparison video if no ones seen it. but remember the clips of mkwii are maybe a little old and unfinished, while the mkdd is finished. but even if mkwii was finished at the time of the video, it certainly doesnt look worse. there seems to be a tiny bit more goin on on-screen. and the kart itself, especially the tires, looks better than mkdd.

everyone and their grandmother knows that SMG looks worlds better than SMS...but judging by the video comparison they made seem like it only looked better by a small margin.

Looks the same because they are the same rack they are comparing.

The old track is supposed to look the same for fan service.

Try comparing a new track.

A widescreen is a higher resolution than normal because it needs more pixels.

Thus making double dash look clearer.

Besides...if you compare the newer tracks to the older tracks mario kart wii wins by a reasonable margin.

Mostly due to lighting effects.
