Mario Kart is a complete blast with friends. GT5 is a good racer, but not as exciting as Mario Kart.MrKittle

I have no idea how Gran Turismo will turn out with multiplayer. Could be epic, could be failure. At least they're better than the standard stupid GT bots.

Same, best 2 racers in my opinion are Mario Kart's and Burnout, everyone knows the best thing about cars is that they crash and blow up, yet it's not so much fun doing that in real life as it results in ya know...deaths and stuff. So it's perfect for gaming!

as long as they get rid of that cheating b-spec and online is spot on i can see myself playing GT5 for absolutely ages - i just like trying to collect and own every car :oops:

GT5 is for those hardcore racing fans.... Mario Kart is more of a relaxing, fun racer.... Both are excellent and will deliver a great racing experience in different ways..

I mean maybe it's just me, but I'd rather race down a real track with beautiful graphics than play some remake of an old game with some washed up mascot, who by this time people should be getting sick of!!!!! It doesnt make any sense to me. I don't see how anyone could choose a game where you get to race against some radomn cartoon character and pick up mushroom and tomatoes as powerups-over a real beautifully designed, well animated, and the most realistic racing sim ever born-GT5.

You already said you weren't getting GT5 in another thread, so you don't own it. How would you know which is more fun? Anyway I'm looking forward to GT5 more than Mario Kart. Infact I just ordered a G25 wheel and Prologue yesterday. And trust me I'll be having plenty of fun with my leather wheel driving exotics. You can enjoy your wii-remote and gokarts. I also think the rumble of an American Viper or the whine of a ferrari is a lot more fun than the casino sounds of mario kart.

i played GT4, GT:HD and the GT:5:P demo... it's driving cars in circles. it's boring as hell....

The rumple of an american viper is great... to bad you will never experience that on freaking tv screen...

G25 wheel is great. it's the best way to play that game.. and don't get me wrong.. it's great to ride a ferrari with the G25 wheel for a few rounds.. but then.. BOREDOM hits me..

Take aways everyone's cars and give them super fast go-carts. Think of how fun it would be driving to work going 60 in a go-cart with everyone else also in a go-cart. Someone gets in your way throw a banana at them.

Yeah so I guess there isn't any point of playing video games uh? I mean if you wanted to kill somebody you could grab a knife from the kitchen, so you don't need grand theft auto. If you wanted to get sniped, insted of playing CS you could just go to washington and pretend you're going to kill the president. GT5P for me.

Most of my friends are pretty good at GT so we have very close competitive races which are shock!! horror!!! FUN.

The last MK i played was on the N64 and whilst it was ok it certainly wasnt a match for GT when everyone is pretty much at the same level skill wise.

The most shamefull thing is my 12 yr old son can absolutely wipe the floor with me in any car and track on GT3/4.

I would go to jail do you see the little problem with that logic? I can drive a car within the limits easily enough, but then if I bumped into somebody in real life I would sure as hell feel it, unlike GT :P
