Mario Kart Wii sells almost a million last week alone

970,000 last week world wide alone. I can see now why nintendo was not afraid to release Mario Kart Wii at the same time as GTA IV. Even Microsoft was scared of GTA IV and they delayed Halo 3 for like a few weeks (This was before GTA IV was delayed). Total sales are almost at 13 million and it hasn't even been a year yet.

Who would have guess Mario Kart wii would be at 13 million at the end of 2008. I know I didn't.

WTH are you talking about MKDD is one of the best MKs out there.

Can't say the same about this one tbh, but mainly because I haven't played it and have 0 interest in doing so.

jeez! 13 million in 7 months guys! april 29th it came out. hopefully this shows ninty online gaming is good MKWii is one of the best and most fun online games this gendarth-pyschosis

Not trying to bash the game, but this only tells me that:

a) A LOT of people owns the Wii, and we all know this is true.

b) All those people are left with not that many choices as the other consoles, thus MK being practically a Wii Must have.

Again, I haven't tried it, but certainly the number of sales isn't indicative of the game's quality.

I wish there wasn't rubberband AI in Mario Kart games. It gets annoying. Mario Kart 64 is still the best though.Cpt_Meh

I have a 360, left for dead, CoD4, CoD:WoW, Halo 3, and I still play MKwii online more often. AND I use the wiimote alone.

Those points I made there were because the guy I qouted kinda made it look like all those sales were an indication of the game being good. I had a blast with Double Dash, I have no reasons to not think I'd get the same results out of this one.

PGR 4 is my personal faviourite racer this gen. Though i also love Burnout, Forza and a few others.

I do agree about MK Wii is the worst in the series as some have mentioned.

Sales aren't indicative of the game's quality is nothing but the truth. But this doesn't mean the game is bad.

Again, the words of that guy made me say all that because that's typical sheep thinking around here: "Wii has more sales because it's better".

No matter the reasons why, the black is black, the white is white and a must have is a must have.

Now you can go on thinking I was bashing the game, I have no reasons to do it but sure go on be my guest. So next time you see on on the streets you can say to your kids: "hey don't talk to that guy, he hates our game with a passion, we should do the same and hate him" but you and me... we both know what the truth is ;)

Eh, MKWii was a bit disappointing. 12 players basically means a lightning every five seconds and a blue shell every ten. It's just too much. :x

The Wheel worked well though, and the online was awesome.
