Mario Maker gameplay trailer

Looks pretty cool. Even though this isn't something new since PC gamers could do that a long time ago by making their own Mario levels. It's still great for actual Nintendo console owners to do the same. Sure it might not have the same freedom as the pc mods do but it does have some unique variety of its own such as making the Bullet Bill cannon fire coins instead and other stuff.

It is not great, especially compared to what we PC gamers have been using.

But it is Nintendo taking a step in the right direction of user created content. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Any word on being able to share your levels online?

Yeah I agree with all of this.

Don't really know yet but it would be stupid if they didn't. After all it would be the best feature for this game and not including it would be a huge waste.

My god MIyamoto is the man. I'm looking forward to it but I was hoping for SMB2 textures and blocks. I want to recreate that kind of game but with 4 player simultaneous. Hopefully they think of this kind of stuff in the future.

Cool. I always wanted a combination of mario and lbp. I miss the snes style mario.

Not always. For the more fancy ones yes, but sometimes all that is needed is a modding tool to add your own map, stage or sound into the game.

Well, they did say that online is needed for this kind of game, so maybe.

Love the fact they added additional Mario game skins. Fairly positive someone will recreate that Super Mario World Nico Nico Douga thingy that came out years ago.
