I was hoping for more after the GameTrailers review, but it's higher than I thought it'd get after the IGN review.

What a bizarre game. Review scores all over the place... 

I didn't nessessaroly hype this game, but that's disapointing none the less. I thought with a new console, they should at least make the 7.0's.kittykatz5k

Flop is made when large group of inviduals who hype it up, but its gets way less. Since this is Mario Party, and the fact that it wasn't hyped, its not really a flop. Just another average Mario Party game that could have put thought into, yet the same thing happened.

Mario Party 8, the most hyped game on the Wii after Final Fantasy, Metroid, NiGHTS, Soul Calibur, SSBB, No More Heroes, [etc] [etc], has flopped. Meaning that Wii owners now only have one AAA party game on which to start a party with. This may hurt sales so badly that nearly three people might not buy a Wii this month.

Mario Party has been on a land slide since the franchise transisted from the N64 to the GC. I think most people who love Mario Party will agree that 1-3 were the best in the entire series. I think Nintendo should really give up on the franchise, at least until they can come up with something more unique because most of the mini games in Mario Party are the same between versions.

This isn't a flop however...........its a ANOTHER BAD GAME to the Wii. SPM didn't make AAA. Zelda didn't make AAA. I think sheep should be a little worried. I know if MGS4, GOD 3, FF13, Gran Tursimo 5 didn't make AAA I would be worried.Silvereign

I saw for the longest time sheep saying "Wait till Mario Party 8 comes out, it will be good!!!", or it was in a list of good upcoming games.

The waggle control is new-gen. 

I'm hardly suprised as I was guessing 7s, and noone hyped this game to begin with.

If you need to try to call this one a flop, you must be really worried about your system.
