I appreciate the info they're giving but I wonder who this video is really for. I guess they're just making content for games media to run with, DF will probably have part of a video analyzing all this (Cerny even quoted DF). Or they just want to mess with people in the forums 😆

They already did:
Some interesting stuff in there indeed. I love to see how console makers and hardware designers decide where to cut and how to punch smart. I mean I still give a lot of credit to the Base PS5 and XSX....very hard to build a console killer at the asking price of those consoles. MS, Sony and AMD did good (unpopular opinion, I know). Sure, in hindsight, maybe they should have done a couple of things differently. But we can only say that now really.
So the GPU is basically a hybrid of RDNA2 CUs with some RT enhancements from RDNA3 and 4 (more 4). Looking at the AI side, it looks like the existing CU has been tweaked rather than any sort of tensor core being added. Quite clever when having to work in a cost sensitive scenario. So far PSSR has been pretty mixed but it's early days. DLSS was also a mess in the early days. Chances are whatever model they are using needs more training.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out for RDNA4. Is that just going to be a bigger PS5 Pro GPU or do AMD have more uarch enhancements in the works? Core for core, the RT looks like a good upgrade over RDNA2 but it's unlikely to make Nvidia and Intel lose much sleep on that front.
Also if Sony are keeping the RDNA2 CU for compatibility reasons, what happens for the PS6? It's sure going to start taking a toll for AMDs GPU engineers, maintaining BC with RDNA2 (which in turn, has to be BC with the PS4 GPU) while also trying to be performant.
But yeah....always interesting to see how consoles makers try to punch smart......which does beg the question. Why the FnF does the thing cost €800!!?
Just show the games man 🤦
They really can't. Most of Sony's games are still in development. Looks like 3rd-party will have to fill in the void till than🤷♂️
@davillain: 😑 I guess all going according to plan then
Phase 3: Forum diarrhea, has already begun
DF obviously loves reporting PS5 Pro. Totally expected a DF Direct for this one.
If there was ever an award for "Most Overacting done with Hands", it'd go to this guy. What is he, Italian?
Oh yeah, and PS has no games pffffffffffffbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt
They should have done this before it launched.
This is embarrassing and out of order.
Apparently this was all shot in October. So they sat on the interview for months… Which makes things even more strange somehow
Im still happy with my based PS5. If it broke for some reason sure il consider it. But the upgrades so far are quite minimal.

It is part of the Sony training. Watch old Shawn Layden press conferences and you will see that he was a master.

Upgrading is always a nice thing....if you have the money, go for it.
@toofastnquick: i have some dime to spare. But i dont think its worth it. Not yet. I barely play ps5 nowadays after getting into pc handhelds. I think i only played ff7 rebirth this year on my ps5 lol.
Lmao, wtf was the point of that? I guess when you have no games to talk about, you have to fill the void with something.
