Mass Effect 2 DLC announced at GDC?

An inside source has revealed that BioWare could be revealing new DLC for their hugely successful sci-fi RPG, Mass Effect 2 at this year's GDC event. Mass Effect 2 released in late January to wide commercial and critical success, so a potential announcement at GDC will definitely be big news. GDC is scheduled to be held in San Francisco on March 9 through the 13.

Yeah man I hope so. I already got all the Achievements, did all the missions and side quests and beat it both Paragon and Renegade and I want more.

I really hope its an expansion instead of mission DLCs. We already know they are working on two new playable characters, the Hammerhead and Liara's DLC mission.exiledsnake

Please god be more crack.... I can't get enough. I neeeeeed more mass effect 2 NOW. Im just finishing my insanity run now and im already dying thinking that I will be without new content. ugh. Over 160 hours invested into ME1 and ME2 is looking to shape up the same.

Walters: Actually, our goal right now is to have the story tie to some of the downloadable content for Mass Effect 2. That will probably be coming later next year. I don;t think we have specific dates yet. It's meant to be standalone in the sense that it explores something we don't necessarily see in the game, but it is connected to the game, and in the downloadable content we hope to follow through on some of the events in the comic.(article was done last year)

As plausible as that is, that was last year. Much has changed since then and I am unsure if that DLC is still in the works. Also, I think it would be fairly strange to include a Liara DLC mission, but not an Ashley or Kaiden mission (depending on who you romanced). I believe the DLC announcement will either be a new squad member or the Hammerhead DLC (hope it isn't the latter as I don't really want it to begin with)

I have a feeling that the DLC in ME2 is going to be a lot greater. The Hammerhead pack will give us a new vehicle to replace the Mako so there's plenty of room to believe that there will be more things to do. Then there's the rumor of a new character, which I hope will be the last. I don't want BioWare weakening the integrity of the cast :P

While extra mission are nice, I want to see a much bigger expansion, something similar to the Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC.

I'm all for it. Love this game, so the more I get to expand my adventure the better. Hopefully some sort of level cap increase will be present as well. Still haven't finished the game yet, but the cap is at 30 right?

As long as its quality DLC I don't care what it is.... however I would love to have some episodic content/expansions leading up to the beginning of the3rd and final installment.
