loved the 1st one, cannot wait for the sequel. Looks HOT!
"The number one thing that we were shooting for in Mass Effect 2 was intensity."
I hoped it would be no ******* elevators.
Only one word cand describe this:
Epic.
If this comes out in 2009, it will be my GOTY. "Heavy weapons" system? "Kill them a thousand times." *grunts*
"Darker story, setting and presentation." "Wild west styIe, warlords, etc." Oh my.
Ok, that's it. Im hyping this AAA :D Maybe even AAAA if they fix all of the issues with the first game. Call me crazy! 8)
i found the first one way to boring played it for 30 mins and havent touched it since. i really wanted to like it but i just couldnt get into it at all
That's the problem though, isn't it? You always need to give an RPG longer than 30 minutes to determine whether or not you like it, I didn't like fallout 3 at first, the vault scene is a real bore, but I came back to it months later, now I'm addicted to it :?i found the first one way to boring played it for 30 mins and havent touched it since. i really wanted to like it but i just couldnt get into it at all

After I saw the video earlier it made me want to play the first one again and I think I will this weekend.

Is your life that boring?
how is his life boring? he was reminded how great a game was, and decided he wanted to enjoy it again. Care to elaborate or just trolling?
Will get (far) superior PC version.loco145Console version was superior of ME1, the changes they made for the pc were too fps-y, really took away a lot of the game's charm, I suspect it'll be the same this time around.

o plzzzz the first one had major combat problems the secondary planets where boring dungen crawling type levels infact everything about the game was boring
Stringerboy
I don't see how anyone can find Mass Effect boring. Fallout 3 is more boring than this.
Leagues more boring. Mass Effect has an excellent story. Fallout 3 left me with a dry taste in my mouth.....like I drank a glass of sand.

Ya same. But not because the game was boring in my case. I was bored cause I didn't want to get into a long developing game at the time. Didn't have time for it with other games I wanted to play. So I'll wait til I have not much to play to try and get into it again.i found the first one way to boring played it for 30 mins and havent touched it since. i really wanted to like it but i just couldnt get into it at all

Shouldn't that title say "looks like another AA rpg for the 360, and AAA for the PC"? :P
But yeah, looks good. My main complaints about the first game were story- and character-related (the characters lacked personality, the plot failed to live up to its hype, etc.) though, so this video doesn't particularly excite me.
Also, while I like cross-game consequences...with as many as two of three characters potentially out of action, I'm a bit worried that those characters won't feature prominantly in the game. I didn't like how ME1's characters were mostly interchangable, aside from a few key plot points, so I want to see characters *do* things (I mean, aside from a tiny sidequest each, Tali and Garrus don't actually say/do anything at all after joining, Wrex only has one 'unique' moment...only Ashley, Kaiden and Liara actually seem to be relevant to the plot, and two of those basically serve the same role).
Meh, I'll probably buy it anyway, but it would be nice to hear how Bioware are improving/fixing the role playing.
Side quests + barren planets + Mako = boring.I don't see how anyone can find Mass Effect boring.

I adore the main quest and how it's presented, but almost everything outside of that is so incredibly lazy.
although he wasn't involved in the main story so much after the citadel he is probably one of my all time favourite game characters.Shouldn't that title say "looks like another AA rpg for the 360, and AAA for the PC"? :P

That was my only real complaint with the first one. Overall though, I absolutely loved the game itself. Hopefully they will add more varied side quests with more to do on other planets and I can see this game turning out to be a well rounded masterpiece.

i dont really think you can call it lazy, if bioware took the time to fill every planet with a side story like quest and a city/outpost the game would still be in development now. the info you could find out about the races, planets, history, technology etc was quite extensive, it may have been alot to read but if you took the time it added so much depth to the story. i do agree with the Mako complaints though but considering everything else was pretty good i can forgive it.Something interesting in the video:
Those robot looking enemies had "M1" on them, which IIRC should be the equivalent of an Alliance (human) Marine private (for example Shepard is an N7, which is the highest rank of special forces). Seems like Cerberus is planning a coup against the Alliance. And in case you're wondering yes, I have played too much Mass Effect.
You can't play too much Mass Effect! :P Anyways, I'm so excited to see the sequel to my favorite game this gen :D!
This game is going to tear up any year it releases in, the sequal to my GOTY 07. I hope its like in the video where you can blow someones leg off, force push them backwards and watch them crawl before you end them. Amazing. The graphics look a good step above what we saw in ME1.
I honestly did not think they would carry over the decisions of ME1 into this game (PS3 version denied?), i just thought it would be too complex. Im going to start a new file very soon. Damn i love the ME universe.
