Mass Effect 2 PS3 more info revealed! the best version?

The latest OPM magazine have revealed many news and details about the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 and they go as fowllows:

• Casy Hudson calls the comic a save game generator.
• Nearly $100 of additional content, all 3 major expansion packs and over a doze on smaller Pieces of DLC altogether adds up to approximately 20 hours of additional gameplay.
• The PS3 version will also feature 3 years worth of engine updates and every patch release for the game.
• The developers promise that they are not taking any shortcuts" Oftentimes when you got to the PS3 you see stuff like down-resing and using a smaller than 720p resolution to try and get back some of the framerate. We haven't done that says producer Jesse Houston, we really wanted to try to make it as good, if not better than the Xbox version."

Nope. PC is still the best version. Im still going to buy this again for PS3 though.

Lets hope it's a righteous port. The PC version was a little disappointing even if it's the best one.

Never said it wasn't, it's just that much more of a beast on the PC. Hotkeys, better UI, and mouse/keyboard controls swing wildly in that versions favor. :P

It might be better than the 360 version, but better than the PC version? Not even close. :lol:

I would have to agree with that. I'm personally more comfortable using the mouse and keyboard for the shooting elements. Plus I'm not entirely sure how using abilities works on the console versions. I just have the good abilities mapped to certain numbers on the keyboard for quick use.

I would have to agree with that. I'm personally more comfortable using the mouse and keyboard for the shooting elements. Plus I'm not entirely sure how using abilities works on the console versions. I just have the good abilities mapped to certain numbers on the keyboard for quick use.

Gotta thank all 360 and PC owners for buying the DLC :).. looking forward to this game

The DLCs included pretty much sealed it, at the cost of having to wait a year of course.

I'll Probably Get This Version And Skip on getting 1 & 2 for 360....

I like the comic idea for save games. To be honest, I really wasn't a fan of te first Mass Effect, so it will be nice to get the story without playing throught the first one :)

I think it's a better idea than them doing nothing at all, but I still think it's inferior to actually playing the game, you miss out on so much.

i would say xbox an dpc will stay better i mean uless you play ME 1 ME2 willl be to new and most of it you wont get evenwith the motion comic, you wont get to hear the many dioalogue from ME1 with ashlee and kaiden and all that say ea have done the most stupidest thing ever but ME2 is a game everyone should play

Oh ok, I think I know what you mean. Yeah, once you get used to those things and know where you've placed your abilities, they're definitely quick and easy to use.

But what if i dont like playing on my PC? :(.. my PC is here for university work, videos, music,messenger, emails, work and thats about it :P..games only on PS3 8)

Prays and Hopes that EA does a little advertising for the game showcasing the new additions and telling Ps3 only owners that they can now buy the game on the ps3. I feel like a lot of publishers fail to do this. The Ad campaign aint gotta be like 20 million. Like 5million will do and hopefully word of mouth will do the rest.

It must include the time to completely scan all the new planets that were added from the DLC as well. =P
