Mass Effect 2 reported freezing on PS3

lots of people are reporting freezing with Mass Effect 2 on PS3

of course this is just a theory, but do you think that because ME2 is using the ME3 engine on PS3 that it could be a beta test for ME3?

About 15 hours in and no problems. :)

i need to know where i pick up my check for being the chosen one.

i hardly ever seem to get these problems.i never had a prob with me2 and even new vegas ran like a champ for me.

activision needs to pay me to play blops on ps3 so my presence will make it work for the entire world.

games like Mass Effect scream PLAY ME ON PC!

they don't even require a powerful Pc. oh well BRING ON the consolization!

Mass Effect 2 on 360 had a glitched Blu Suns Side mission (The one where you have to choose where to launch the missile at the end) that froze all 3 times I tried to complete it until I just gave up on it so, I'm not surprised.FlamesOfGrey

Never had that problem. I'm assuming you installed it to your hard drive? if not that might fix the problem

I played SO4 without it installed and ran just fine. The Last Remnant however....

Wow. This game being on the opposition's system sure is bringing out some strong feelings. :lol:

I own the PC version, played it through multiple times and no crashes, sucks for console owners I guess.

It's probably a system by system basis, I doubt everyone who has ME2 PS3 is experiencing this freezing.

Interesting. 2.5 playthroughs, zero freezes on my 360. 2 different models, fat for the first playthrough and a slim for the second and half playthrough.

I have both versions and I'm playing the PS3 version and have not had any freezing problems. I however ran into a few glitches and one freeze playing the 360 version. I was actually surprised at how well the ME2 ran on 360 compared to ME1 which was a moderate glitchfest

I'm just happy to have ME2 and ME3 on the PS3, the fact that I can enjoy the game with a whisper quiet console compared to my loud 360 is a godsend.

I have had no freezing to report of on my 1st playthrough :|

Having said that, it didn't freeze on me. It went hella-slow a few times though.

terrible, terrible DC. cows were hyping this to be the definitive version, with a new engine. plus the fact they had a year, if it still freezes thats even worse.

Having said that, it didn't freeze on me. It went hella-slow a few times though.

I suspect that ME3 will look much better than 2. Remember there is still almost a year until ME3 comes out, and that's assuming it doesn't get delayed.
