Mass Effect 3 CE to include classified character, mission

As well as a monster 70-page art book and (in-game) Robot Dog, the $79.99 Collector's Edition will also include "bonus squad appearances" for Ashley Williams, Liara T'Soni, James Vega and Kaidan Alenko, plus more excitingly a "classified" bonus character and mission.

Its funny how Bioware doesn't get as much crap for this as Capcom. Overpriced DLC needs to stop.exiledsnake

I hope it's like Zaeed from ME2... it was a free DLC for evey edition of the game.

if it's in every edition of the game then i'm fine with the CE of this game...but if paying an extra $20 for some crap is the only way to get that character then that is super sad

the ME franchise has been all about the immersiveness in the universe and getting to know your squadmates and exploring all the dialouge opitions with them....but if this character is only in the CE edition of the game, then IMO it is an incomplete game at $60

How much we end up paying for full games today? god knows which companies cut content from the games to sell it later? if ea's greed is any indication, me 3 will be a good example. How long before we have to pay to see the end of the game? mass effect is mission based, like mass effect 2, how long before we have to pay in future games for all the missions?

Fully agree. I hate it when they put big amounts of in game content in CE's. Diablo III's CE has a few in game things, but nothing like this. I am ok with a special dye or something that is just neat looking, but I dont like it when they take away gameplay and such.

Just watched the trailer for the CE. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the character and mission is the usual buy the game new incentive. We pretty much already did this whole song and dance all the way back with the DA:O CE. If something isn't described as exclusive, it isn't exclusive. For quick reference, the only things in that video that weren't described as exclusive were the bonus character/mission, the N7 Patch, limited edition comic and the digital soundtrack. Of this list, only the bonus character/mission makes a good "buy the game new" incentive.

On a somewhat sidenote, saw a glance of the ME3 Jack/Subject Zero. Love her new ponytail ^,^

but i'm a fan who wants IN GAME content, like playable characters...but i shouldn't have to buy an extra $20 worth of junk to get that

i've boughten at least 10 or so collectors editions this gen...and i'm done with tham, i have just no more room for artbooks of concept art that i can simply find online

the ONLY good thing out of any CE of any game i can think of is the diary from Halo Reach, that was just filled with so much awesome lore and really added something extre to the story if you read it all....now if they put a big book in the CE like a real life codex of all the races in the ME universe....i'd buy that in a heart beat, but if not? Then just give me the character at a noremal price of $60 like they did with ME2

the only thing looking at an artbook does for me is make me wanna play the game....so, i'll just play the game....BUT, i'd much rather play it with my extra character! :P
