I never played Mass Effect and i was wondering what would be the better buy on PC or 360? I have a strong computer to run it on PC so i was wondering people that have played both versions what one would you recommend?

The PC version is better.
Specifically, combat is a little less cumbersome.
There a few other differences; GS highlights them in their review.
Only bad thing about the PC version is the 3 installations limit.
If you reformat as much as I do, that might be a problem down the road.

Depends. What are the specs on your PC?

Just get it on what you prefer to play on. ME is about the same on both versions apparently except for a redesigned menu system. Both have glitches, but they're not as bad as people make them out to be

Personally, I can't stand playing anything besides MMOs and RTSs on the pc so I'd say the 360

The only major different in the PC version is you have more control of your allies, able to control them each seperately.

So what improvements exactly?

this is all that's mentioned on the review

"None of the changes are drastic overhauls, but they do have an appreciable effect on the gameplay. One of the biggest tweaks is to the combat system. In the 360 version, you have to temporarily pause the action to use any weapons or biotic/tech powers beyond the one you currently have equipped. On the PC, this pause is still available, but weapons and powers have been consolidated onto one screen, along with squad commands which you can now issue inidividually. Pressing the space bar will bring up a heads-up display where you can change weapons or powers and issue commands to your squad. Odds are you'll use this pause very rarely, because your weapons are mapped to the function keys and your biotic/tech powers can be assigned to the number keys. "

Ran ME on the PC (was a little upset at the lack of gamepad support). On my current specs, I ran ME maxed out with about 25-30 FPS. Don't let the haters fool you. The PC has slightly better graphic and less (but still there) pop up and texture pop in issues.

I prefer the 360 due to the controls other then that ...if you don't mind the mouse and keyboard then go with that...

Also, the Menu has been optomized for the PCs Mouse and Keyboard(thus the lack of a gamepad support)

maybe if thats the only thing you actually read:

"Many small issues have been addressed in the PC release, and the result is a more streamlined, more playable version of one of the best role-playing games in recent memory."

"Slightly more distracting are the frequent in-game load screens. Masked by long elevator rides on the 360, load times have actually decreased in length but increased in frequency for the PC version. Elevator rides are shorter,"

"A few other tweaks have positive effects on the game. The inventory system is much easier to manage with a mouse and keyboard, and long lists of items won't reset to the top every time you sell something near the bottom."

"The Mako vehicle sequences are easier to manage thanks to the implementation of dedicated forward and reverse buttons in place of the 360 version's viewpoint-dependent controls."

"A new hacking and decrypting minigame, in place of the old button-matching one, is both more interesting and more suited to the game"

"Keyboard hotkeys allow quick access to the map and squad upgrade screens"

"and the quicksave button is a great way to ensure you won't have to do too much backtracking"

"easy to recommend the PC version over the 360 version"

"A few other tweaks have positive effects on the game. The inventory system is much easier to manage with a mouse and keyboard, and long lists of items won't reset to the top every time you sell something near the bottom." Mouse/Keybaord vs. Gamepad

"The Mako vehicle sequences are easier to manage thanks to the implementation of dedicated forward and reverse buttons in place of the 360 version's viewpoint-dependent controls." The Mako sucks periode!

"A new hacking and decrypting minigame, in place of the old button-matching one, is both more interesting and more suited to the game" Was a anouance if you ask me.

"Keyboard hotkeys allow quick access to the map and squad upgrade screens"PC+

"easy to recommend the PC version over the 360 version" Uhmm.....

6 monthes wasn't enough time to fix (completely fix) some issues and wasn't enough time to add anything really substantial to ME

I haven't played the PC version, but since it's pretty much guaranteed to be superior, I'll go with PC.

Not very much of a difference to really bother with. The game is perfect on either one.

If you prefer Xbox, then the Xbox.

Not hard really.

If your PC is spec'd and can beat out a 360 in terms of graphics, go with the PC version. I heard they revamped the inventory system. That alone is worth it. I purchased on 360 because i'm used to console games (KOTOR and Jade Empire are the reasons I purcahsed a 360) and my current PC setup could only render the game in like PS2 quality graphics. And not even late gen PS2, like "The Bouncer" launch-game quality graphics.

Even though the differences between the two versions are small, you'll appreciate the minor conveniences and more polished feel of the PC version.
