what about eternal sonata......hopefully that jrpg will actually not suck lol. but then again they did launch like the biggest fansite for a game ever recently. now im thinking about it 360 is getting a lot of rpgs and like 4 fps this year. 360 is becoming the rpg console? im_different

eternal sonata is only like 20 hours long and that game is super linear.

Mass Effect will live up to its' expectations, there's no doubt about it. But Lost Odyssey? My opinion on that game has drastically shifted since I saw the E3 07 trailer, heard some bad first impressions and saw the score Blue Dragon got on GameSpot. It seems like a very generic, "cookie-cutter" JRPG, even if an award-winning Japanese novelist is writing the story. I just don't think it will be what we thought.

Nice thread except you should have just made it Mass Effect. I was so excited about Lost Oddesy after seeing the first couple videos at the Tokyo Game show in O6'. However now it seems like it has been getting downgraded since that amazing trailer.

Seriously, why are you hyping a game when 95% of the game that has been shown is all dialogue? Maybe its just me, but I wanna play games. If I wanted to read, there is this thing called a book.
