Ooh Mako exploration is back. Hopefully they corrected the handling.

Really like the trailer it got me hyped, not that it takes much I've always been a huge fan of the KOTOR and ME games.

gears of war with dialouges. thats what i call mass effect. it failed as RPG. it failed as shooter. and EA will always find a way to screwed it up.

Pretty cool. Also, I don't think they messed up ME3, just the endings.

Then again, I've always had low expectations for the Mass Effect series. Give me a decent story and fun combat and I'm happy. ME3 actually even surprised me by exceeding my expectation in one specific area.

Graphics look cool, I hate the whole artists at work motif they have going everytime they show something related to this game, it just seems pretentious.

I thought ME 1 was a flawed gem (heavily flawed), but me 2 and 3 was just gears of war in space with some multiple choice dialogue, they removed the Mako which was just a wtf design choice and instead gave us that stupid mining crap. Atleast there's one positive, the Mako is back.

Hopefully it's not a mess like 3.

No gameplay

Bioware is no longer a decent developer after being with EA for these years, Dragon Age inquisition was a fucking joke...Then you have dumbasses like anita sarkeesian who insist on shoving feminist crap down people's throats which results in butt ugly characters like Cassandra and a whole lot of gay romance...

Yeah ending was the main problem but TBH, they also changed the plot in ME3. The trilogy was always going to be about Dark Energy and uniqueness of Human species, but after the leak they changed the plot and removed Dark Energy and Human plot from it, making it a straight forward 'We vs Reapers' story with no twists and turns.

mmhmm, not that the series has ever had good gameplay, but come on. That footage just feels like it was there for EA to go "look guys, people are making stuff".

But it does look like a really nice looking documentary on the Mass Effect world.

The graphics are awesome, but like many others stated.. No gameplay.

Expected gameplay trailer and got a bit disappointed.

However, the gameplay segments shown in the trailer are damn promising, i just can't F*** wait !

Yeah,,, that's why I am keeping my expectations in check this time, unlike Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 (had low expectations for Inquisition), but won't lie that trailer has got me excited.

@emily136: because it very clearly isnt even close to ready. i would be surprised if it even is released in march 2017 to be honest. if they had gameplay to show then they would show it.

whats there looks great though..the visuals, the sounds.....stunning. its great to see the mako back too and the tempest is also looking well. thats the one thing i hope they recapture from ME1...the sense of exploration and discovery. i suppose the story of the original trilogy kinda tied biowares hands in 2 and, especially, 3.

a new galaxy basically gives the devs a clean sheet to start with again.

who cares about "no gameplay" -- there have been 3 games, expect it to be similar. Did people whine about all the non-gameplay trailers for Uncharted 4? no? because everyone knew what to expect

Alot of hate in this thread for one of the best series I've ever played. People also forget that 3 was actually a good game (not quite on level of the previous 2 granted), it was just the end that absolutely sucked.

Last one was garbage so this one will more than likely be the same

Not sure if I like this "whole new galaxy" stuff. I think I spotted a Krogan somewhere in the footage and I hope the races of the Mass Effect trilogy will still be in there. Not just small cameos.

I agree. Mass Effect 1, while heavily flawed, felt like the better game in relation to the space setting. Growing up, my father always watched Star Trek with us, and that's really what it felt like when out in the Mako.

Something has gone wrong I think. Reminds me of when AC: Unity did not participate at any event that allowed the public to play it prior to launch and then turned out to be a disaster. Bioware still can't produce more than a couple of seconds of gameplay, it's crazy. Makes sense why all the people left now. Time to panic folks :)! But seriously I wonder what's going on?

Agreed. For one the gameplay in 3 was a nice brush up from the previous jank (still not top notch, but fine).

Goddamn. The new ship looks INCREDIBLE. Bioware excels at is ship and armor design. Their artists kill it every time.

Looks good, probably going to be boring.

@blue_hazy_basic: that was enough to put me down a lot. The closure to one of my favorite series was terribly handled. Sure the whole game was good except for the face bug and that crap ending. Didn't do it justice.

I kinda like the space exploration part, finding a new home bla bla bla...sounds promising. Space operas doesnt always have to be about an invading ancient aliens or fighitng some evil empire...I'd love if its just about struggling to survive and find a place.

But its Bioware, 40% gameplay and 60% on characters, romance and narrative appeasing for a demographic that dont even play your game.

I'm glad we finally saw something, but I want more. The mako looks fun now. I want Bioware to work on a Dragon Age game in coming years.
