Mass Effect Game Informer Review

I got this from the Mass Effect forums but the game got rated a 9.75 out of 10.

-They noted the game was around 20-30 hours long.

-Best story since Star Wars, best story in a videogame

-great dialouge, they felt guilt when they yelled at a crewmember when she got teary-eyed

Don't know if this is true but you don't have to believe, just wait til' it comes out.

edit: i really think this is BS but I'll be happy if true though seeing as how early this issue is. I wouldn't suprise if this is true because EGM will have the review for this game on Oct. 30th so that means they must of had early- late Sep. to play this game.

I haven't even gotten the most recent issue....

ive known this ever since i heard about it back early last year.

look at that quote i know for a fact he will get owned for every prediciton he made.

If this is real, no big surprise. Mass Effect looked like a great game. The only problem with the game is it not Nov. 20th yet.

But people please don't flame the cows, it will only lead to problems.

The reason Game Informer would have a review is that they likely recieved an advanced copy that isn't quite as polished as the final version will be in order to make their deadline, because no one wants the Mass Effect review after the game is out. It would be an "epsilon" version in Bungie-speak. It makes sense too, Mass Effect has been more or less finished since some time between May and July depending on who you talk to, and all Bioware has been doing since July is QA testing and tweaking.

It does....but with a score like 9.75, would you really mind?

Anyway, let's wait for independent confirmation, at least a blog or SOMETHING before we start screaming "teh cows have been owned."

Yeah, if I remember correctly, they post their reviews on their website WAY before they send out the written copy.

come on they gave resistance the same grade as gears of war. you know something is wrong with that. and they gave bioshock a 10 the game is good but its not perfect.

9.75 should be easy to get on that site anyway so i believe it. it might get a 10 on there if bioshock got a 10.

They dont feel that bad im sure... Uncharted and HAZE are out areound the same time as Mass Effect. I will be picking up Mass Effect and Uncharted fo sho!!!

Game Informer always gets reviews out WAY ahead of time. They have reviews for stuff like Guiar Hero 3 in there issue out now.

And good for Mass Effect, when I get my 360, this will be the first game I get.

they have blu ray and the world best cpu the cell, also they have great games like Lair which cannot be done on the 360 and I kinda think Heavenly Sword looks better than Gears.

Mass Effect looks like a great setup for a sci-fi epic. I mean, this is supposed to be the first in a trilogy, so I'm already wondering where they go with it.
