From IGN:
"After the half hour meeting, those of us present were so excited about the game we had a hard time concentrating on the next game's demo. Although there is still room for improvement in smoothing out the game, Mass Effect has once again vaulted to the top of our most wanted lists for 2007."

From Kotaku:
"That said, everything looks fantastic. The framerates are totally smooth (with occasional stutters that we'll chalk up to it being almost done, but not quite), and the characters look gorgeous. All those trailers you've seen are actually of in-game footage, and when you zoom close in on alien characters, they look just as good as any of the Unreal Engine demos we've been seeing for years."
"The game's due in November, and judging from the completeness level of the demo they've got now, there's no doubt that the game will be fantastic when it's released."

If you want to understand how good Mass Effect really is, just focus in on, besides the beautiful gameplay footage, the interviewers face. Pretty much the only words to describe it are "totally stoked". If you look at the rest of the interviews he does on Gamespot, there isn't another game that impresses him like this.
GOTY? It's coming, this November.
