Thanks for clearing that up. Mass Effect does look incredible; but Crysis comes out on top by a long shot - but then again, it does that to everything.

That Crysis quote is grossly over estimated. And how am I going to get Mass Effect for lress than the price of a Core 360 + Mass Effect.

Wow great going by posting the worst screenshots you could find of mass effect.  Those new ones on gamespot look like they were taken with a cell phone camera.

Look I can do this thread another way.

PC games don't get downgraded very often, since developers can just toss the responsibility off on performance scaling. Consoles games get downgraded because they need to work with one set of hardware.

Maybe you don't understand the word IRONY. I was pointing out you can make/find bad pics of any game. http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2006/316/931665_20061113_screen002.jpg Here you want the full pic at gamespot. it still isn't a HD pic.

The devs themselves said that screen was taken with an unfinished build of the game, so it does look better than that.

Actually in order to run Crysis @ max you will need SLI 8800GTX's I promise you. I don't even think that SLI 8800GTX's will even be enough if you add in antialiasing and anisotrophic filtering. More than likely the G80 refresher cards will be able to do all that.

I would bet one of the new R600's will be able to run it fine at max. 1024-2048 MB of VRAM with >2.0GHz cores? Yes please.

how much land area is ME compared to Crysis? I heard ME was many planets. if so it's understandable that each wouldn't have the same level as detail as the one in crysis.

Um why not play it at 1280x800 with 4xAA? One DX10 card or 1900/7900 will do it easily I promis you.

I'd like to think that a single R600 would do the trick, but from people who saw the card running recently the word is that it is only about 5% faster than a single 8800GTX. I promise you that the R600 will not be anywhere close to as fast as SLI 8800GTX's though.

You could do that, but I want to play @ no less than 1920x1080 with 4xAA and 16xAF. If I can do that then I will be happy as hell.

Uhh, that's a terrible pic and i've seen better ones of Mass Effect. But I honestly don't care about graphics in this case because i know Mass effect will be a much better game overall. Kotor didn't have very good graphics but a lot of people like it's gameplay.

theres to many games using that over-the-shoulder camera now-a-days. once we see more and more games that use that same concept it'll make the future next gen games seem pale
