Mass Effect vs. Final Fantasy XIII (graphics) (56k no)

Id say that FFXIII has better graphics, but thats a 2008 game so its not really fair to compare it now with mass effect which should release in a couple of monthsmangobear

It has a much more realistic look to it.  If you scroll quickly through all the screens just the color schemes alone really show that FF is more fantasy themed (who would have thought) and Mass Effect has a much more realistic vibe to it.  The girl is absolutely fantastic in the FF screens though.  She looks near real.

You think it is in game because it has a HUD and menu bars?  I'm not totally convinced those FF screens are not CGI, but I know one thing that is true for EVERY game and that is that NO game ever looks better then all other games of the same generation within a year of each other and looks that good early in development. Most of these pics and videos that Sony wants you to believe as next gen in-game graphics are just "target videos."

I never said that.  Just bc they are showing you the world doesn't mean that it is the same world used in the pics.  I'm not a fanboy just a realist bro.  I don't care what Geow looked like bc lair looks like garbage. 

I believe that the screen with the menu bars is probably in game but that the third is definately cut scene / CGI and that I'm not sure about the mob.  We'll see when they release some gameplay footage.  I don't really care if it looks as good as some of those screens or not because it doesn't really effect me either way.  My point is the vid you linked has nothing to do with those screens and there is absolutely nothing in the way of character modeling in that vid.  Keep blowing smoke though.

Who said that I wasn't a fanboy.  I'm a lemming.  I owned all 3 systems last gen and definately liked the xbox the most.  I'm just not a raving mad fanboi like many here and I would rather have a conversation than the pointless crap where I say LOL POS3 and you say XBOX 1.5. 

I seriously believe that FF xiii will be a great looking game and in many senses look better than Mass Effect.  It doesn't mean that I have to look a horse in it's mouth about early "screen" shots.  It's the same deal with halo 3.  hell no I don't think the original trailer was really representative of the actual game. 

And I only got on you about Lair because it is a blatantly fanboish / cowish tag.  It's like blood in the water for me.  Lair could be good.  Maybe you're right.  I think it will just be one of those games that had potential though because they are just trying to do too much with the game.  We'll see though.

I'd argue LO v FF xiii.  That's just me though.  Both look very similar.  I just love the the scene where the character comes rushing in that was showed in the demo.

To zeonne.  What I meant by blantantly fanboish was that you don't really have anything in your tag that represents yourself.  Just some worthless, from a point of view, facts about the ps3 and UE 3 engine, and a link to a vid of a ps3 game that looks good.  It just doesn't seem personal and seems more proganda-ish.  It's your tag though.
