Master Chief, meet your maker!

Am I the only one who sees the similarity between a Halo: Spartan and Samus' Varia Suit? This picture doesn't show it too well, since the suit is represented with a lot of detail, but I was playing Metroid Prime a few days ago and couldn't help but notice how a vanilla Spartan suit resembles Samus' bounty armor, despite not even nearly as bada** as the Varia Suit.

What... I don't even.... :?

There is not the slightest similarity between Samus' and Master Chief's armor. Hell, even among all the armor variations you can compose in Reach you wouldn't have anything close to hers.

They are two completely different designs and styIes.

They both have generic space armour.

That's the only similarity I see.

If there is armor in sci-fi games (and movies) it quite often looks similar. Somewhat tight metal armor, Full metal helmet, some sort of coloured glass on the helmet, the lines between the metal look similar. Other than the helmet, i could say samus's suit looks like the iron man suit. They all look similar.

That looks nothing like the Mark V (Halo: Combat Evolved)or Mark VI (Halo 2/Halo 3). It doesn't even look like the Mark IV (Halo Wars).

If anything, it looks like Dead Space armour. NOT Halo armour.

looks nothing like the MC. the only thing that is similar is that it they are both full body armor.

ROFL I remember thinking it was generic even on the NES. She looked cool in zero missions with the suite off though.

If you are going to compare Samus' varia suit then why not use the original varia suit? Either way they don't look the same beside the fact they are space suits.

Now she's a whiny unlikeable protagonist with a face and everything. I preferred her when she was quiet.

Not in the form we know it in today with MC as it's flagship character. But that is how the game was originally conceived by Bungie, back when it was a project in the works for the Mac.
