You should compare Ash to Duke Nukem, that's a more likable comparison. Master Chief is just a boring character overall.

Now that would be a tough decison to make. Both are the epitamey of Cool in their own way, adn both carry guns and Kick Monsters a*** Ash does have the chain saw hand though. However, Duke Nukem could carry like 30 weapons on him like in the game.

personally i agree that master chief is a boring character but he has become this huge success in the world of gaming and media. therefor it is fun to pit him against enemies he could never defeat.

I'm not sure, but I know some people that are pretty young and have no idea who Ash is, well either that or they are girls who aren't interested in the gore-humor that is The Evil Dead. lol

100% agreed.

The Evil Dead was quite a good film, and the gore was incredible. Really, there were some sickening parts in that movie.. who said pencils can't make effective weapons? However, Evil Dead 2 just trumped it in quality overall. There wasn't as much gore, but what they did have was creative and surreal.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there, Ibacai.

"The Evil Dead II" takes what makes "The Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness" so great and meshes them together to create a film that has the perfect balance of horror and comedy. Though "Army of Darkness" created the Ash that we all know and love best, I find his character in "Evil Dead II", which is developing towards that ulitimate BA in AoD, to be much more entertaining.

Plus, while a great scene, the S-Mart ending in "Army of Darkness" is so far from Ash's character it isn't even funny. He's an idiot, first a foremost, so the original ending that Universal deemed too depressing is much more fitting.

But that's just me. ;)

I entered this thread thinking "please let it not be that gorram Pokemon crap". If it had been I'd so have voted for crepes.
