I turn 20 in 15 day's (lol **** I didnt realise it was that soon). Anyway I see myself playing game's a lot less as time's go on due to work and life situation's in general, but I will continue to alway's have some time to play games. Especially when I have kid's I am going to play game's with my kids all the time, but of course in moderation so they don't become fat. :P
34,married, two kids, and a dog and I won't quit gaming until I am physically unable to play. The best part about it is I actually feel like a kid around the holidays in anticipation of a big game's arrival by Santa.
Trix are for kids, video games are primarily for adults...at least it seems that way nowadays.
i'm 24 and i find much less time for my beloved hobby...however its nice to be able to buy any game you want but then realize you don't because you actually realize the value of the dollar
also there is a diffference coming out of grammar school at 2:30 as opposed to coming out of work at 5 ...that extra 2.5 hrs makes a difference in game playing time
but i do kind of don't get that same feeling i had when a new game for 64 would be out...or that time period when the dreamcast and ps2 came out and you felt like you reached a huge jump in the evolution of games with games like mgs2 and gta3
today kind of feels like a rehash of all the old with shiner graphics and way way too many shooters...its oversaturated...i still haven't played mgs4 so who knows
When your 28 and above, are you still a gamer for life? Not until you find a wife.
Then your gaming usually diminishes...greatly.
you know whats funny...
that old people today don't play games cuz well they didn't grow up on it...they play cards at the most
but when our gen is in our 70's and 80's i think its going to be funny tha we will be playing videogames

Not if you find a wife who also games. My wife plays games as much as I do. She used to love Mortal Kombat and Star Craft. Now, we game with our kids as well.
Come next summer I won't be much of a gamer. I will be getting my first motorcycle. when picking between playing a game and going riding, gaming doesn't a chance at all. I don't even see me playing PC games much after next summer. I see me mainly using my PC for video editing when I start recording my rides to upload to livevideo. I also see my doing more snake hunting to record that as well. So if I had to guess. No I am not a gamer for life. I may still play a game from time to time, but not as a serious entertainment source.Bubblehash
I have been riding motorcycles for quite some time now and I will tell you that you will not give up on gaming. For the first year that is all you will do is ride and ride some more, but it will get to the point where you don't ride as much. Advice though on keeping your system for you recovery days from crashing. Trust me. I lost a girlfriend from gaming to much because I didn't spend enough time with her. I have been gaming since Atari, but NES was my babysitter so I think that is where my "addiction" comes from.
Oh well there will always be video games and more lost girlfriends lol..
30 years old, just starting a career as a teacher, and started gaming at 6 years old with a Colecovision!
To answer your question, probably, but you never know. Two years ago, I was almost completely turned off of console gaming, and was only playing 2-3 games on the PC. No innovation, dime-a-dozen shooters like Halo and way too many stupid sandbox games. But I was completely brought back into it by the DS and the Wii, which really surprised me since Nintendo pretty much lost me with the N64 and Gamecube. The PC had some great games since then, too.
No 360 or PS3 for me yet, and I'm still extremely wary of purchasing either of them (the 360 because I believe I should have confidence that any piece of electronics I buy will last for at least 5 years, and I have no such confidence with this console. Plus, MS will probably pull an XBox 1 with it in a couple of years and abandon it completely. The PS3 because there's still nothing I want to play on it.)
29 years old, female :)
Played for as long as i can remember and on one of those machines that came before nintendo and c64 lol then nes, snes, amiga 600, mega drive, saturn, dreamcast, playstation 1, N64, xbo, ps3.... im sure i forgot alot of names lol. Stillg aming and not planning to stop anytime soon!

My girl is a gamers also, so no issues there. I have two daughters, so no chance of selling my systems either. And yea, I look forward to getting my first crash over with. I am learning on a 2004 Gixxer 750. Thinking of getting a SV650S.[QUOTE="lvgaming"][QUOTE="Bubblehash"]Come next summer I won't be much of a gamer. I think I got it to late, I was 25 and didnt want to go 180 mph like I used to. Fact is I got to a age where I realized I was mortal and got scared. Sucks because I couldnt afford one when I was younger, and my parents were scared I would kill myself so didnt help. When I bought one on my own I was older and realized, I couldnt afford the tickets and my bike was to nice to wreck. So I had a rocket, I rode like a granpa. I sold it and bought a G35 coupe that I drive like a granpa.:x

:lol::lol: Funny read.If I want to go fast, it will be on the track. I think that is why I am fine with having a Suzuki SV650S as my first bike even though I am learning on a GSX-R 750. I don't want the bike for speed as much as for saving on gas and riding the twisties.
I'm 16, and my first system I played on was the Amiga. I've been playing games for as long as I can remember. And I'll be playing games for a long time. Although, I am kind of dissapointed that ENTERTAINING games like Monkey Island aren't being made anymore. Games nowadays don't need any thinking, everything is about shooting, blah blah. I'll put it this way, games nowadays lack gameplay and story.
Look at Planescape, an AMAZING game that was like reading a masterful book. Classic point-and-click games like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, DOTT, all awesome stories, fun, entertaining.
I may only be 16, but I'm probably one of the few at my age that enjoys games like Baldur's Gate, Planescape, Monkey Island, Tyrian, Banshee and many more.
People in these forums probably don't even know what Tyrian is...
I'm off.

SV650 would be a great track bike, but you may get bored of it compared to a 750. The GSX-R 750 isn't a very forgiving bike when it comes to mistakes so my advice is ride your limit and let everyone else ride theirs. Another thing make sure you where your gear because wearing gear feels better than a skin graph.
Just turned 30, and while I don't play games as much as I used to, I still play alot. Although sometimes I like doing research on games and reading about new hardware etc. more so than the actual gaming.
I was more obsessed with gaming as a child though.... I loved my Coleco Vision, gaming then just felt so magical in a way, I guess because I didn't understand it the way I do now.
So in conclusion, I see my game time reducing in the future, maybe, but I'll never stop gaming..... my son sure is lucky, he'll have all the new video gaming equipment most likely b4 the rest of his friends. I cannot wait til he's old enough to play a good MMO or do a Co-op Campaign with me in something like HALO or GEARS.... well Gears is a bit violent, but I'm not one of those those over protective gotta shield my child from everything thats not covered in Rainbows and Bunnies, kinda parents.
Think of all the time old people have to just sit around and do nothing. Could there possibly be a better opportunity to clock in some hardcore gaming sessions?
I shall game for life.
I won't be playing anywhere near as much when I hit that age.
I think this is the last gen I'm gonna actively pursue gaming as a hobby. I'll still go at it from time to time though, probably for the rest of my life.
Me too :) Sometimes I find myself on here more than actually playing. I am close to 32 and started out on an Intellivision ;)Just turned 30, and while I don't play games as much as I used to, I still play alot. I try to pretend I'm not nerdy but, alass, I am.
I had some 16 year old earlier try to tell me Killzone 2 was coming out multiplatform, I had to correct him, but somehow just felt embarrased knowing such info :)
Im going on 28, and game more now than ever. Even as a kid I have owned every video game system since the nes. I just always hung out with my friends more than I played. From 15 to 23 I raced motocross, had a bad injury and could do nothing but play games for awhile. Im getting older and all my friends are married with kids.:x The only friends I really hang out with anymore are work buddys, That is usually a few beers after work. I have more time for gaming than ever. I think I will be dead before I stop gaming. Every one I know My age games, that is what we grew up with, and dont see why we would stop.lolkie_81
QFT. Thats what will happen as well. It is what some people have grown up with. So i really don't see it stopping for some. I know I will be standing in line for what ever constitutes a gaming platform when I'm over 9000
You know I have been playing the game systems since Atari. I got the PS3 & the 360. Not really interested in the Wii (but not knocking it). I have been gaming since Atari Combat and don't see myself stop playing video games in the near future. I'm no addict or fanboy, I just like the sci-fi entertainment. Anyone out there over 28 feel that the video games now give you that same feeling that you had when you were younger. I am 38 now, married with children and I must say I get really excited when some good stuff that you can play for hours and not get tired of it hits the scene. What about you? You ever think after marriage & kids and grand kids that you will one day put down the controller?phearless
I dont know about grandkids (and hope I dont for a long time, lol) but being 37, married, and having kids it hasnt slowed me down in the slightest.
