Max Payne Returns?

This other thread linked to Kotaku which had stolen an article from another blog which contained a couple of previously unknown details about L.A. Noire. Checked out the blog some more and found supposed Prince of Persia 4 development screens, and this.

Max Payne 3 will see release in either summer or fall of next year for at least the Xbox 360 (this is that Rockstar Xbox 360 Project #1 that was a new title in an existing franchise and maybe be part of that $50 million payment by Microsoft), also below is supposedly a mock-up for some promotional material for the game

I have no idea who the guy behind this blog is and if he has any credibility whatsoever.

The believed-to-be-canceled game that was at development alongside the previously-believed-to-be-canceled Manhunt 2 at the now-defunct Rockstar Vienna has not been canceled and is currently being developed by an unknown Rockstar studio.

Yeah, if there is no PC version I'm gonna cry while simultaneously being overjoyed that there actually is an MP3. That's if any of this is true that is. And assuming Rockstar doesn't mess it up like I predict they're going to. There's no replacing the awesome that is Remedy.

I doubt it because the makers of Max Payne are already working with MS on Alan Wake. Unless RockStar gave the project to some other team orRemedy working at 2 projects at the same time.GoodkupoBan

The only way there could possibly be a sequel is if there's someone else that didn't die, but who? The only characters left alive are Max and Mona as far as I know. Vlad died, Vinnie died, Winterson died, that guy from the Inner Circle died, Chief Bravura died, EVERY FREAKING ANONYMOUS GANG MEMBER DIED!

Again, Remedy sold the IP rights to Take 2/Rockstar. Remedy has nothing to do with Max Payne 3 if it does exist.

Mona also died... The second ending felt forced to me, the first ending suited the mood of the game better...

I dont see how Max Payne can return after how the second game ended.Zero_Fate_

When you beat it on the hardest difficulty you get a happy ending(Mona Lives).

Remedy sold the rights to 2K rockstar and moved on to Alan Wake their next project.

I doubt we'l see anything special without the original developers. It wil probably be manhunt stylish engine :P

He lived? I'm pretty sure he died at the hospital because I can't remember ever seeing him (aside from dream sequences) during the entire course of Part 3.

True, but I believe that Rockstar has competent enough team in order to pull off a decent sequel. I mean, both Remedy and Rockstar are commited to bringing unique games, with unique styles of gameplay.

If that blogger says the truth, those are truly great news... Altough, there's no PC apparently, so it kinda sucks big time, at the same time...
