even if the sp is out of this world, majority will still flop it, trust me. After reading all the negative stuff about ps3 from NA media for the last 3 weeks, its pretty obvious that ms is on the move to destroy this game.

i played the previous 50 cent game and this one wont be any different, and i played the kz2 beta, the difference between the two apps is like night and day. But its still funny that you are somehow optimistic about the reviews. lol

well Resistance2 & Geow2 didnt have amazing sp campaign.. they were action packed but slightly repetitive imo...And both got great scores... so KZ2 just needs a well paced, action filled campaign and probably for reviewers it will be enough... Personally i dont expect an amazing story/plot for KZ2 but as long as it keeps me entertained and satisfies my shooting urge thats enough for me :)
(note: I also enjoyed R2's & Geow2's sp campaigns)

A 3/5 for Killzone 2 can mean two things. Either it doesn't appeal to casuals much (I'm assuming Maxim is a casuals magazine when it comes to gaming) or it just sucks. I'm leaning towards the second option.

kz2 will be an awesome game but i think that NA media will stick up for ms without ms asking anything from them.

Maybe they overrate them like they did with Halo 3, nah, I'm joking, I didn't play either game, but I heard Gears 2 single player was great and better than it's multiplayer, oh well.

So do you think the first KZ is worse then KZ2? You see how flawed your logic is saying 50 cent game is bad because of the first one but you like KZ2 even though KZ1 was a huge bomb. I am not disagreeing with you on the reviews nor the screen shots...but Maxim targets the same age demographic as the PS3 and 360...So as a joke that we might think they are...That mag is going to get in the hands of a lot of targeted consumers..

You DO realize that they have been busted a number of times for their terrible habbit of reviewing movies/cds/games without ever actually watching/listening/playing them right? They review everything based on how "manly" they think it is and based purely on image. They have never played the games they reviewed.
I think any and all future "Maxim says" threads should just count as self-ownage. Anyone who admits to reading Maxim and actually thinks of it as a serious and reliable magazine is just exposing how much they actually know themselves.
