I just bought mass effect 2 not to long ago. Can't play it yet, gonna wait until I'm done with finals, but I am so pumped. It's gonna be epic.

I agree I loved then both, the story in ME was great, but playing as a vanguard in Me2 was fantastic and I enjoyed that story as well. I just cant ever understand the bioware hate whan both these games were produced this gen, sorry DA2 was not what you wanted, get over it its 1 game.

KoTOR II stomps Mass Effect into the ground. Better story? What story? Ancient race of nasties comes back to wipe out the galaxy and must be saved by generic awesome hero? lol okay. Hell, Mass Effect 2 doesn't even have a story. KOTOR II's on the other hand, is actually pretty thematically complex and it's a very unique taste on Star Wars. Mass Effect is just another example of BioWare stealing from more much talented people.

Better characters? Are you high? Kreia alone is more interesting than every single Mass Effect character combined. Most of the Mass Effect cast sucks. They're either generic and boring (Miranda, Kaiden, Ashley), a nerd fantasy (Liara), or pathetically underdeveloped (Grunt, Zaeed, Kasumi, Samara, etc). There are some legitimately interesting characters (Wrex, Legion, Tali, Garrus), but most of the cast is just boring or flat out badly written.

Better gameplay? Lol Nope. Mass Effect 1 has sh*t gameplay, and Mass Effect 2 is a poor man's Gears of War. KOTOR II, on the other hand, succeeds at being an RPG with good gameplay.

The latest game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, is reportedly going to be on consoles as well so it meets your criteria. :) I don't know how it's going to work on consoles, but we'll see what happens.

Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Halo, Grand Theft Auto, Guilty Gear, StarCraft, WarCraft, Diablo, Red Dead, God of War, Jak, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Quake, DOOM, Age of Empires, Armored Core, Burnout, Deus Ex, Final Fantasy, Power Stone, Hitman, KOTOR, etc. The list is pretty long, but if you want to play them, those should keep you busy for a few years.

If you don't care, why bother? And since you have no idea what I think is good, how would you know "exactly" what to expect? Make up your mind.

Of those, I like mass effect. Maybe the story? Game has its flaws, but the tale has drawn me in.
