Very good news. I've always been a fan of the franchise, but I hope the new developer can pull it off. Their track history isn't very good.

Saw it on GS earlier so Fing stoked, I almost fell out of my chair.

you mean mech assault? Yea.. I hope it doesn't go down that road.. Console gamers do not have ADD devs!!!, MW3 had alot of functions and buttons so we shall see what happens.

The founder of that studio was the head of FASA, actually yea I have no idea if the employees are the same.

I like Mech Assault (not so much the PC Mech Warrior titles), but I have a friend that absolutely loved Mech Warrior. He doesn't really have much money to spend on an expensive computer though, so let's hope this doesn't require too much in terms of hardware.

Mechwarrior: Living Legends is now out of date. :D

I am so hyped for this now. Easily my favorite series as a kid (along with Descent). I hope it's like the old PC titles and not like Mechassault. We don't need anymore of that non-customizable, arcade gameplay.

EDIT: Nothing is confirmed yet, but I'm remaining very hopeful that this is indeed a very good sequel to Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance/Mercenaries.

Well in fact the article only mentions the teasers. It being on the PC section is just because it is presumably a Mechwarrior game, which is a PC franchise. It could also be something like Mechassault.

Well in fact the article only mentions the teasers. It being on the PC section is just because it is presumably a Mechwarrior game, which is a PC franchise. It could also be something like Mechassault.

Well, at the bottom of the article (Update #2) it said something along the lines of: "We now know [through contacting the developer] what this presumed Mechwarrior game is, it's title, and how it will be rocking your PC in the coming months."

EDIT: Just checked again. Looks like they've taken that part out. I wonder why...:?

Yes, you are correct they have edited the article, and it says this: "While the speculation about the next chapter in the franchise has been flying around, we actually know what this mystery game is, what the footage entails, and how it will rock your computer."

So the only thing left is that it's not a Mech Assault game disguised as a Mech Warrior game.

So many great franchises are coming back this gen, Aliens vs Predator, diablo, Starcraft, and now Mechwarrior.
