Media Create Japan Sales Feb 27-Mar 4: The Return of charizard1605 Edition

It's been months since I made a Media Create thread! Feels good making one again :twisted:

Anyway, the latest weekly sales numbers for hardware and software in Japan are out, courtsey of Media Create. As expected, the 3DS did extraordinarily well. As expected, the PS Vita plunged deeper down.

On the sofware side, the 3DS dominated the charts as well, although the PS3 claimed the top spot on the chart with the latest One Piece release. As for the 3DS, it seems like a fourth title might join its holy trinity of big name sellers- I'm talking about Harvest Moon, of course.

But we'll see.

Haha, I was playing DW2 back in 2002 or something. The Musou games really took off now.

I just hate how DW7 stripped the series of all the strategy involved, and it became the very thing haters think of it: mindless, repetetive hack&slash. While 6 was fine, it was a rushed, unpolished product. Why didn't they just build upon the foundation, they just had to dumb it down.

Well there is the possibility of a big pricecut, and announcements of popular games in two days that could boost sales to an extent.

PS Vita finally breaks the 600k mark! Well done! Only 40 more weeks to 1 million.

Oh and 3DS...

In other since beating Resident Evil Revelations i since have sold it yesterday to a coworker. it was a piece of **** system. How can people game on that screen i have no idea, so much glare. I think Vita seriously needs to drop in price, love the system though, im enjoying the launch games more then i enjoyed the 13 games i bought for 3ds thought the whole year. Unit 13 is really good too, wish it had some type of competitive mp though.

Disagree, 3DS is currently absorbing the PSP userbase and Sony would have to resort to a major pricecut to save it, which means another financial fiasco. Nintendo had room for a pricecut.

We're talking Japan here btw, CoD or GTA won't save it in this region.

Next week is MGS 3D, and Hatsune Miku -- a PSP series.

The ps3 is going strong, so is the psp, heck even PS2 is still kicking.

The vita needs to carve out its own section, identity whatever, a slight price cut might be an answer but it woulfd be temporary. Sony needs to announce a 'game changer'

One Piece did fantastically, and the bump for the PS3 is impressive considering nothing has really moved the PS3 like that in a while.
