Looking at their financial numbers you can tell it's really working out for them.

PS3 and PSP games have consistently been in the top Japanese charts for weeks.

Sony is certainly making some sort of ressurgance.

Luckily they had the PS2's gains to fall back on.

If these games continue selling and production costs continue to go down for the PS3 (which they will), Sony's investment will pay off.

Well, tbh in the PSP case it got resuscitated over night. One day it was lacking non jrpgs next, next Motor Storm, Rock Band, Assasin's Creed, Possible God of War & GTA, and more to come get announced. :P

the funny thing is that a few day ago when 360 had the lead by a smaller margin in Japan, threads were created with many fanboys stating 360 is making a comeback (with you one of those taking active part).. I said that in 2 weeks time things would get back to normal with 360 taking the last place...

I was wrong it only took 1 week.. and why is it that when PS3 outsells 360, PS3 fans cannot post comments and be happy while i've seen countless posts/threads created in the past 2 yrs when 360 games sell loadsor when NPD charts come out with 360 topping PS3 in sales.. can someone explain this please !!!!

The Wii is becoming saturated in Japan. They have a smaller population that we do in the US. It's the reason why games like Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii have droped in Japan, but they will continue to sell well in America for at least a few months longer.

Well those 2ch number were so wrong :lol: Anyway, good sales for yakuza 3, media create is becoming a little more interesting. It will probably die down after Biohazard releases but whatever. I'll just say though, taiko still charting is ridiculously good, it may become one of the best selling 3rd party games in japan at this rate.
