Dragon Quest is much huge, as most titles sold at least one million copies in Japan, while no Metal Gear Solid game has even reach that milestone.

And by the way, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 was released on a Thursday, the same day as Meal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, not on a weekend because of the Golden Week holiday period which ended just yesterday in Japan.
