Megaman Legends 3 for 3DS

It is real. From Capcom Europe's blog:

For years, fans have been clamouring for a new instalment to the Mega Man Legends series and now the Mega Man Legends 3 Project will see their request realized. Indeed, fans will have an opportunity to be part of the development process like never before as they interact directly with the team. 'We have wanted to create a new instalment in this series for a number of years,' commented the title's Executive Producer, Keiji Inafune. 'And it is great that we now have the opportunity to bring this title to the Nintendo 3DS.' Further details of this project will be revealed at next month's New York Comic-Con. The 3DS looks alot better than the DS which was a disapointment graphicaly.

NOOOOOOOOOoo....I dont want to buy a new system to play a game I've been waiting for since the ps1 days. I all ready purchased all the systems this generation including portable, I've purchased every MM game released since MML2, I don't have a hankering for capcom to pull this move where I don't get an HD current generation console MML3.

As for that 3ds will be expensive it seems, and its Pseudo 3d and Pseudo 3d gives me headaches. DAMN YOU CAPCOM!!! I should have realized with all the crap you pulled with DLC and other things this generation.

Hmmm... presumably now the 3DS will get the hate the PSP has traditionally gotten for having "games that should be on a home console" made for it (3rd Birthday, Birth By Sleep, Peace Walker, Valkyria Chronicles, etc.)

This gen is actually quite interesting with its twists and turns.

Sweet. I loved the original 2 (I even got the one on 64 :P ) so much.In fact, I'm gonna go play the first one right now. *nostalgia here I come*

Are you kidding me? What the hell is wrong with capcom. Whats wrong with making it for a HD console? They should have used the MT framework or the unreal engine and made it for the ps3 and 360.

It took about 9 years, but better late than never. I held off on getting a DS because I figured some nice games would be announced for the 3DS so I'm definitely buying one now.

Wow, more reasons to get a 3DS, I played those games back in the day.

I'm disappointed that it's on a handheld but this has just sealed the deal. I'm getting a 3DS no matter what. I loved the Megaman Legends games. ML1 was my first PS1 game.

Mega Man 64 (aka Legends) was horribly boring. I don't know why can't they simply make a Mega Man 3D game inspired by MDK or Jet Force Gemini.

Never played the first two. I just know that I've always heard 3D Megaman games are bad.
