METACRITIC, Busted?

can any1 explain why Metacritic gave Sacred2 on ps3 a 72, while 360 gets a 74 on 360?

the 2.0 is a big diffrence when ps360 owners decide on which console they should get this game on.

Maybe a couple of more reviews gave the 360 version a slightly higher score?

Isn't it 0.2 instead of 2.0? Not really a big difference. I didn't watch the video, nor do I plan on watching it, but did one get more reviews than the other? That could be the reason. killerfist

PS3: 91+78+76+75+70+65+60=515/7=73,6 360: 91+78+76+75+75+71+70+65+60=661/9=73,4 Yes, you're right actually. But like I said, it's a 0.2 difference. Not that big of a mistake. I'm sure it'll be fixed. killerfist

I am sure sites like Che at Code Central and Game Revolution are weighted different then others.

So that leaves a couple extra on the xbox side that would effect the score making it higher

OXM which is probably weighed the same as Gamespot and IGN

Gaming Trend - probably same level as CCC and GR plus it was a 71 so doesn't effect the average at all really

guys i think metacritic is busted it says halo 3 is rated higher than killzone 2 whats wrong??

For someone set on buying the game for one system versus the other, a 2 point difference on Metacritic (just one of the many score aggregators that currently exist) is not going to stop them.

eh. it's nothing to care about. anybody i would want to be playing with online wouldn't read metacritic, so why should i care if they go to 360? the ps2 can keep sony in money so they can still make MY games fun....

Yeah that is why I don't use Metacritic myself, although I am pretty sure the sites are weighted the same for both sides. OXM and OPM would have the same exact weight.

Edit: I was only explaining why we see the different scores, the guy said the reviews were the same but Gaming Trends and OXM were listed which would have obviously changed the scores
