Metal Gear Solid 4 REPLAY through impressions

I just started replaying the game today on the hardest setting. Gonna play through with no Alerts. I have to say even today its a fantastic game. I think I'm gonna hold it has my "This Gen Game to play" followed by Red Dead Redemption.

This is me playing the game after the hype train has already left the station years back. Still pretty, still great AI. Love this game. Does any other games this gen really hold a candle like that? Maybe Mario Galaxy but I haven't bought it yet.

MGS4 was 1000x better than GT4. GT4 got a 10 in some fantasy world...Not sure how. I liked the game, dont get me wrong but repedative missions, horrible blurry graphics and a DECENT story.

MGS4 pushes the limit with cutscenes (you either love em or hate em) but everything comes together at the end...fantastic.

On another note, its still the same fantastic game it was back then..that is still plagued with rehashed story elements. Nanomachines...I love the mgs story and I dont complain about it being convoluted. Just number 4, with its needless abundance of recycled topic discussions. Quite literally my only gripe.

Its ironic because i currently went back to mgs4 and im loving it! I bought gta4 first though and beat that, then i got this 10 game and beat this too!

I replayed it 6 months or longer after I beat it the first time and I actually loved it more. Best game so far this gen.

Hell no lol. GTA 4 wasnt even stellar when it launched :P. Good game, but definitely not the best GTA. MGS4 and Uncharted 2 are my favorite games this gen that grabbed me and did not let go. BTW I played all 4 MGS games (in order) just over a year ago for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed each one of them.

Thinking about it, there is actually one game that I enjoyed just as much as MGS4 - Demons Souls.
