Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD will have online co-op

The HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker offers nice bonuses beyond sharper graphics and dual analog controls. Today, Hideo Kojima announced that Peace Walker will feature online co-op (or CO-OPS, as it's known in-game) on Xbox 360 and PS3 via infrastructure mode.

It is possible to play the PSP version online, but to do so requires Sony's "adhocParty" app, and a connection to a PS3 that is using a wired internet connection. This version will be as simple as it is with any other Xbox Live/PSN game. And, Kojima confirmed, it'll run in 60 frames per second even with 4 players.

While you grudgingly admit that you want to buy the games again, now in the HD collection, here's a little perspective: Peace Walker is being sold separately in Japan, but it's just one part of a bundle here.

Yup, if you haven't played Metal Gear this is it.

I really do wish they'd just toss MGS1 into the collection. But I guess I can download it from PSN or track down a used copy of the Gamecube remake sometime. That said, I'm eager to play Peace Walker.

I probably would of brought a 3DS looking forward to MGS3.

The 3DS game is a port of Metal Gear Solid 3 with some 3DS specific features. To my knowledge, there has not been a remake of either of the Metal Gear games. And Metal Gear Solid 4 is on the Playstation 3.

i thought they will never make a hd collection so i watched youtube playthroughs of metal gear solid 1, 2 and 3. wish i hadnt,

Are they going to give MGS2 camera control?

That's awesome. I'll be getting this with my bro. Peacewalker was amazing on the PSP but the controls were pretty terrible (camera/movement), and it forced me to get fed up :(

Very excited to replay MGS3, and give peace walker a go. Looks like im gonna find out if Kojima was backing up his "peace walker is pretty much MGS5" talk. Hope it delivers, i enjoyed 1-4 immensely
