or also coming to PS3?

Hopefully it adds something interesting to the MGS universe. I also don't want a hack and slash game :(
I really think that Konami should release a "box set" of sorts for the 360 of all 3 MGS games (and then port 4 separately) for the 360. I really like the idea of MGS, but I've only ever played Snake Eater, so I don't know the canon. If they could get all of them in one convenient set so that people who are unfamiliar with the series could be caught up, I think MGR will do much better on 360 at least.
I suppose this is off topic, topic just got me thinking about MGR's performance on 360...

One convenient set is not convenient. It would take you 2 weeks to get thru the games, and 6 other play throughs of each game to fully understand everything that's going on in each... and then more specific playthru's to see how the stories are connected.[QUOTE="Trigger_Hppy"]One convenient set is not convenient. Lol Walter more than 7 playthroughs to understand the storyline? More like 1 playthrough and you'll get the gist of it for MGS Rising.

Yeah it's not that involved, even though it is fairly convoluted. Unfortunately it would cost way too much I'd imagine to do all that porting and the previous port of MGS2 didn't do too well on the original Xbox. I'm interested to see how MGSR on the 360 does compared to the PS3.Why im not that jazzed about metal gear solid: rising anymore is that kojima said himself that this game will not be his main focus...his main focus is on metal gear solid: peace walker for the PSP. Kojima is writing a story, producing , and directing peace walker....while metal gear solid : rising will be created by his secondary team...I think Metal Gear solid : Rising will end up being another Metal Gear Acid (in style of a mgs game that is not made by kojima)

hmm i wonder why the word ****is censored? anyways....ya that was the only game i could think of that didnt involve hideo kojima. Hopefully kojima is involved for a tincy wincy bit to save this game from failing. To be honest though i really hope they port metal gear solid: peace walker to the ps2..I am kinda short on cash and wont be able to buy a psp 2000 for quite some time.[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]

He didnt direct it though IIRC and the story is fairly isolated, by that i mean it doesnt really have a huge effect on the MG story.[QUOTE="ReaperV7"] hmm i wonder why the word ****is censored? anyways....ya that was the only game i could think of that didnt involve hideo kojima. It just takes place more near MGS3 instead of the future with Solid Snake.[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"][QUOTE="emorainbo"] I think Kojima had little involvment in Portable ops.
