a new MGS game is coming out soon and of course conviction just came out, so why not a poll?

which game do you like better?

SC to me has always had the better stealth gameplay and just gameplay overall....fisher and lambert were always two fun characters to hear them interact with one another

MGS is for me is about it's story and characters rather than it's gameplay....while good, it's just not near as good as SC's gameplay

so for story i like MGS more

everything else goes to SC.....so SC overall i like better

i personally prefer the splinter series to a much greater extent

oh btw, lems havent played MGS4 (they may have played the first 3, everyone had a ps2) so "some" people voting SC might not have played MGS4, when SC is multi-plat

Easily Metal Gear Solid 5. The demo was amazing, and from the trailers it's clear KojiPro is expanding on the gameplay, instead of dumbing it down like other developers.

I prefer Splinter Cell (not double agent, because that was awful).

However, I have the utmost respect for the Metal Gear Solid series. I thought MGS4 was a very good game, I just like the Splinter Cell gameplay better.

they never finshed the story, its like only watching star wars episode 4 and 5 and not return of the jedi.

MDS hands down. SC is good but MGS is too much of a classic that I'll always love.

to have a valid opinion you have to have played both games, for example

typical wow fanboy: HURR DURRR EVERQUEST SUCKS HURR DURRR (most of them have never played another MMO)

MGS really isn't a stealth game by my definition. Although in MGS stealth is kind of important it doesn't rely on stealth like SC does. There are too many forced action parts (bosses and such). Even with SC's stealth lightened a bit it is still relies much more on stealth than MGS. So I don't think it the wisest thing to do to compare the two. But if I had to: Although MGS is a better game overall, SC is a better stealth game.

I've always liked Splinter Cell more (This includes Conviction) Note: I've only played MGS4, so if that was the worst, maybe I'm wrong.

Gameplay wise: the SC series, character and story wise: the MGS series I always loved the over top MG stories no what matter how cheesy and some cases convoluted they were (except MGS4 I really dislike the story)

Play the demo for MGS5. It truely speaks for itself.

I have the demo for MGS5 and it was good but not as action packed also the retail game will have DORITOES MOUNTAIN DEW...MONSTER HUNTER XD its kind of hard to take it serious when you see the game with all those wacky advertisements

So what? It make the game more awesome and funny. Peace Walker probably has one the best use of ads IMO.

Again so what? It just a fun and clever way to use ads, and doesn't effect the game much. Seriously it would be sad if you boycott this game just because of these. And are trying to say that Peace Walker is a port?

The advertisements in no way intercept or disrupt the gameplay or story, theyre just there. Its not like theres a Doritos commercial mid game, the advertisements are weaved into the game disrupting nothing.

Im sure the Monster Hunter elements are optional aswell.

And your saying MGS5 is inferior because its not as action packed? How about the core gameplay, how its pulled off and the overall quality of the game? That mean anythig to you?

Never played Splinter Cell.

But I've played and Beaten all of the Metal Gear Solid Games (1,2,3,and 4). I have to go with MGS but that's only because I've never played Splinter Cell.

Splinter Cell has always been better. MGS's only advantage is it's pretentious, overly complicated storyline.

saleswise and scorewise MGS has the edge. IMO MGS is the better game overall. although SC is good too.
