Metroid Other M + Sin and Punishment 2 delayed

Nintendo today updated information for some of its key upcoming software releases, including several new titles .

Sin & Punishment™: Star Successor and Metroid™: Other M will now launch for Wii™ on June 27 and Aug. 31, respectively.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Wii, June 27): The incredible new shooter game from legendary developer Treasure, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor features nonstop action with two playable characters and international online leaderboards to track high scores. Using the Wii Remote™ pointer functionality, the game offers unprecedented precision in the shooter genre. Broadband Internet access is required for online features.

Metroid: Other M (Wii, Aug. 31): Developed for the Wii console through a collaboration by Nintendo and the world-renowned Team Ninja, this newest installment of the Metroid saga looks at the ****** franchise from a new perspective: While much of the game is reminiscent of 2-D side-scrollers, players can switch the perspective into 3-D at any time as they explore the twisting passages of a derelict space station and delve deep into a cinematic, never-before-told story of bounty hunter Samus Aran's past. This new approach uses a new control scheme in which players use the Wii Remote controller, held sideways, to battle enemies and navigate the expansive, gorgeous environments in ****c Metroid fashion, then aim at the screen with the Wii Remote pointer to blast foes in first-person and hunt the world for clues and hidden passages.

Good news I say. More time to play SMG 2/catch up on some games I missed or havent finished/collect more cash.

Ah, just like Corruption, pushed back to August.

yay! i don't think i'd be able to afford buying a new wii + smg2 + ssbb + other m all at once

plus, delay = more time for polish!

It's not a significant delay so I don't see too many changes being made to either title. If anything, they were delayed to spread the release dates out a bit more (I believe Sin and Punishment 2, Other M, and SMG were all going to be released only several weeks apart). I don't see S&P receiving any changes since it has already been out in Japan for a while and for Other M, it probably won't be anything significant.

The bad news is that I wanted to play Metroid Other M before College starts again but the good news is that now I an spent my money on SMG 2, MH Tri, and maybe Trauma Team, Arc Rise Fantasia and Fragile Dreams.

Plus, Sin and Punishment 2 is still coming out in the summer.

As I said in another thread in another forum, this gives me time to clean out my backlog a little bit. Also to let me catch up on other games I haven't bought and played yet. So I'm not really worried. :)

All good. Saves me the blitzkreig of games bombarding me so I can gets mah anime fixes :D

It's fine if they delay Other M and S&P2, but if they delay The Legend of Zelda Wii to next year, I will be enraged. :x

I'm not too fussed about the delay of Metroid. Just means more time to play my other games.

This actually gives me more time to beat other games before I get Sin and Punishment 2 now, so no big deal for me.
